  1. 17 hits given up by our great pitching.
  2. 2 hits and an RBI tonight and you s*** on him. What about Lackey and the beautifully constructed bullpen.
  3. I'd still buy a ticket to watch Manny hit.
  4. ARod was laughing because the pitch he took was a strike. Umps don't give calls like that to pieces of s*** like Uehara against an ARod. Umpire to rookie pitcher complaining about a call on Ted Williams: "Son, Mr. Williams will let you know when you throw a strike."
  5. No it was a case of an AB between an all-time great slugger against a guy that will not even be a footnote in the game.
  6. Uehara --- lights out closer! He can nail the game down for the opposition every time!!!
  7. Singleton is a good listen.
  8. He's facing a piece of garbage. Uehara makes Heathcliff Slocumb look like Mo Rivera.
  9. Lights out with a 89 mph fastball. He sucks.
  10. Alomar K's looking.
  11. Uehara is the closer? Pathetic. He'll choke this away,
  12. There is one big difference. It took Bush 8 years to destroy the Republican Party. Obama is managing to destroy the Dems in two years.
  13. Great camera work on the third strike to Cano. The ball got by Wieters, but the camera had a shot of the 3B ump instead of the play at 1B.
  14. Jeter is really reminding me of Roberto Alomar.
  15. He's a bust.
  16. Put it on a tee already, Lackey.
  17. The Sox signed 3 guys out of Seton Hall at the time-- Valentin and Mo Vaughn and a pitcher. I can't remember the pitcher's name. I think he was a lefty.
  18. Was that on Moses laptop?
  19. VMart pretended to have fouled a ball off his foot in a Nationally televised game against the Rays recently. On the next pitch he got a hit. The announcers laughed about it. Players have been doing it for years. To me it is no different than trying to sell a catch on a ball that you know you trapped or a tag that you know you didn't make. There's an old saying in baseball: "If you ain't cheatin, you ain't trying." Stealing a call is part of the game. Here's an old story for you. In either 1969 or '70, Yaz hit a ball in the old Yankee Stadium to RF where the wall was low. Ron Woods ran back for the ball and jumped for it. The ball went into his glove and then he tumbled into the seats of an empty section. Their attendance used to be really bad. He knocked himself unconscious. Bobby Murcer ran over from CF to check on him. He was out cold and the ball was on the ground a few feet away. Yaz had already rounded the bases and was in the dugout. Murcer picked up the ball and put it in Woods' glove. When the ump came out and saw the ball in the glove, he called Yaz out. He was steamed.
  20. A terrible bullpen had nothing to do with injuries. There is no control over injuries, but there is control over building a bullpen. Also, there ahs been lots of stupid sloppy play. There is no excuse for poor fundamentals. Let's not lay this all at the feet of injuries. If the FO does that and doesn't improve this team, we'll be facing the same fate next season whether they are healthy or injured.
