  1. A friend of mine had the following idea. At first, I thought it was crazy, but on second thought... Instead of getting Crawford or Werth, resign Beltre. The infield defense will stay awesome. Put youk in LF. He should be fine in Fenway. In some of the bigger left fields 9especially against left handed pitchers), Youk can DH and Cameron can play LF. That should be about 20-25 road games. What do you think?
  2. If he still has his bat speed, he'll be alright, and we can remind the others that they were ready to cut him 2 years ago.
  3. I am one of the few here that didn't doubt him. I watched him closely in the Spring Training and the early season, and I posted that he still had the best bat speed of anyone on the team other than Youkilis who has a very short stroke. His problem was timing and pitch recognition not a loss of bat speed.
  4. I was just going over the lineup and their individual stats. One thing that jumped out at me is that Ortiz and AGon's 2010 stats are very similar. We're thrilled to have AGon join the club for the next 6-8 years, but many of us are looking to cut Ortiz's throat on a year to year basis. For a guy that is in decline, he's still pretty damn good. In this lineup with shorter fences, he could have another really good year.
  5. AGon plays everyday. He doesn't miss a game. Drew has a call into him. He's going to set him straight that this playing every game stuff will make the other players look bad.
  6. Doerr and then lots of nobody's. Remy could have had a good career, but his knees went bad fast.
  7. Our Ellsbury Rib doctors just finished checking his ribs. Next he sees our Schilling shoulder specialist and then Pedroia's podiatrist. At the end, he'll have Kotsay's chiropractor check out his back.
  8. Daily Reminder to FO: Get Carl Crawford!!!! And Thanks for Adrian Gonzalez. Don't f*** it up at the end, so get him signed. People are buying tickets on this news. There' s lots of buzz in the air.
  9. They could have signed him for 3 yrs/$40 million. He had no leverage at all.
  10. Pavillion? Nice. Season Ticket holders already posted their tickets?
  11. I think it is your turn to use it. E1 has had it for the last 3 years. You might want to buy some disinfectant.
  12. On the serious side, I hope we don't have the usual team of drunk doctors checking AGon out. They can't be trusted to count how many fingers and toes he has. Second, what the hell is taking so long getting an OFer. This inactivity is unbearable.
  13. Your blowup Theo Doll.
  14. I just want him to pass his physical and sign a contract. The #'s are irrelevant to me. Ticket prices are already set.
  15. All we need now is an OF and some bullpen pieces and we should be a beast. A Met fan friend just text me that AGon should be playing handball on the Monster and that he is better than horseface.
