    I realize that it is very very early in the season, but I think the Sox reliance on Salty and their passing on Martin will prove to be a critical misstep. Only time will tell.

    Lester had nothing today. His velocity was down. His command was off. No strikeouts for a strikeout pitcher. Bard blew up really bad. I never would have predicted that Wakefield would relieve Bard on opening day. Crawford looked like hell against lefties. On the bright side, there are no platoon concerns with AGon and Ortiz already has half of his 2010 HR production against lefthand pitching.
