I doesn't matter what his season stats are. What is important is that he gets on track and finishes the season strong helping the Sox to make the playoffs.
He will eventually get on track and be the player that they paid for. However, if he has a prolonged slump to start the season, he could have season #'s that are below his norms.
I don't know if there is something wrong with him physically or mentally or if he just wants out of Boston. The Sox will have to figure that out, but they can't just keep rolling him out to the hill every 5th day and ruining a game.
