    I read that Pedro is getting himself in shape and that he would like to return to the Red Sox. I say get him and send Dice K on a humanitarian mission to help the earthquake victims in Japan.

    Letting roiders in would certainly diminish what the Hall represents. They should hold the line on all known roid users. The roiders made a decision to cheat and go for the big $ and records. They got their money and they damaged the integrity of the record books. For this, they deserve no reward.

    It would be nice if he pitches like last year and not like he did yesterday.

    Without roids Mac might not have stayed healthy enough to compile the necessary numbers. He had injury problems early in his career. We just don't know the effect the roids had on any of these guys and whether they would have made the HOF, except for Bonds. He was putting up HOF credentials before his head expanded like it was pumped with air. He would have had the numbers-- probably a few more steals and around 100-150 less HRs

    At some time in the near future, this team will catch fire. Tito needs to keep Ellsbury out of the top of the lineup. Youk will get on track and be Youk and Ortiz will hit more and more as the weather warms. While Ellsbury is sucking, I'd like to see Cameron playing CF against lefties like CC.

    Buch was horrible today. His pace was slow. Didn't he turn himself around in 2009 when he started working a little more quickly. He got very few swings and misses. The Salty/Martin thing continues to look like a very bad decision. We spent $300 million on 2 guys and we could have kept Russell Martin away from the Yanks for about $3 million. In his off years, Martin will do what Salty does in his best years. Theo's mancrush will haunt us all year long.

    There are a lot of guys with the roids issue over their heads as they are considered for the Hall. The one thing on their side is that if one of the known roid users gets in (the first might be ARod), makes the Hall, the floodgates will open and all of the roiders (Manny, Clemens, Bonds, MGwire, Sosa, and Palmiero) will get in.

    They are too good to not snap out of this. The only thing that concerns me is that they might dig a big hole for themselves before they get on track. It's way too early to panic. If they are 10 games out at the end of May, I'll be very concerned, but June is a long way off. In the meantime, they are just sucking all the fun out of being a Red Sox fan. We haven't had anything to cheer about since the end of last June. We'd all been looking forward to watching an exciting rebuilt team, and so far there has been nothing to cheer about. Please give me some reason to cheer today and over the weekend.
