    It ain't gonna happen. Mark it down and hold me to it. Edit: Because Ortiz only plays one side of the ball, he will be cheaper than the other options while providing more offensive production. Plus, Vmart's value on the other side of the ball isn't anything great and Beltre's ain't gonna DH.

    But they didn't and they have no excuses. They didn't do the job. June is historically Drew's best month. I was hoping that he would get hot, but we are still waiting. I don't think Theo will wait much longer. Drew had better get it in high gear real soon.

    I am on board with getting Beltran, but Drew's and Cameron's problem was not the lack of consistent playing time. Cameron's problem is that he was old, injured and over the hill. Drew is right on target to play in the same number of games as his career average, so playing time has not been his issue. He is playing himself onto the bench and possibly off the team. He was the everyday RF but he is losing the job by his failure to perform. I hate excuses. When a guy is playing poorly, I wish people would just say it and not make excuses for it.

    Maybe he can stay and take Wally the Green Monster's job? . . . Nah, he doesn't have the wheels to take Wally's job. Enjoy retirement, Mike. Leaving the major league life behind is going to suck.

    It would have been nice if he had found his swing before this road trip. When interleague stops and Ortiz and Crawford are back we will not need his bat that much.

    I have always liked that Theo holds himself accountable for his bad moves. Too many people make too many excuses today and too many people are willing to accept lame ass excuses. Not enough people take responsibility. Kudos to Theo.

    DMac up to complete the squander after 1st and 3rd with no outs.

    Pitcher at bat. Here's where I obsess about injury, not about a position player plying the OF. 1st and 3rd none out. Lester should bunt or just stand there. I'd prefer he just stand there so he doesn't have to run.

    Drew's numbers declined last season, and he was complaining about injury before the start of the season. It would not have been unforeseeable for him to have a down season or miss substantial time. As for Cameron, he's 38 and post-op. Nuff ced.

    What just happened? GameCast says we scored a run. What is that? Does that mean one of our players advanced around the bases and touched home plate before there were three outs? My memory is fuzzy on that.
