  1. Although I think Theo could have done more at the trading deadline (he did essentially nothing), my big complaint is that he did not build a deep roster from the beginning of the season. Wakefield was counted on as pitching depth. That is just terrible planning. He was obviously over the hill in 2010. Why would Theo expect him to improve at age 44.
  2. Exactly. What about Dempster? He would have cost the farm. I've said it before. Every single year we hear that they didn't want to sacrifice the future, so they sacrifice the present. Next season will be the same BS. Who are these great prospects that will be coming to Fenway next year or in 2013?
  3. FO is spinning all sorts of excuses for themselves. It's bull, and I for one don't want to hear or read it. The Yanks have had an implosion by their #2 pitcher for the entire season. Their #3 Hughes has been basically useless all season long. They have had lots of injuries to their bullpen and ARod has missed a significant portion of the season. The Rays lost their All Star LFer, their #2 pitcher and their entire bullpen to free agency, but yet they built a team that is charging hard. I don't want to hear Front Office spin excuses by Red Sox brass. Stop the whining.
  4. I told you all that these guys had the same look as the Mets had in 2007-08 when they collapsed.
  5. That should take us throw the 4th maybe 5th inning. Fat Albers and at least one other pig will have to get us the the 8th inning.
  6. Yanks trashed King Felix. They and the Rays are taking care of business. The Sox are collapsing.
  7. Jacko has a very valid point. Knocking off the Red Sox or any other team is all the Orioles have left. The Yankees on the other hand would love for the Sox to get eliminated. Jacko's points are very valid. You should be very concerned about how this is playing out.
  8. I would prefer to play on the moon and have the Rays pitching at this point. Our home field will not overcome the slugs that we will be sending to the hill.
  9. Tito panicked on Saturday when he pitched Papelbon on the road in a tied game for 2 innings, so you are late.
  10. Boggs, who are you? How do you remember people ripping Bay and Pedroia when their kids were born? You are new here. Check this guy's IP
  11. Pushed.
  12. Tito brought in Albers to secure the victory for Tampa. I was going to post this right before that pitch but couldn't type fast enough. Panic button please!!!
  13. I'm sooo glad that Theo sacrificed the present to preserve the future. Next year he can do the same thing and the year after that. Who are these big stars that we have coming to Fenway from the farm system in the next year or two? Please, what ********!
  14. There is no one else. Theo got us an injured bum at the trading deadline. Thanks Theo.
  15. Remy with the great point-- that we will keep running out hacks and bums to the mound to start games for the foreseeable future. Wakefield, Lackey and Miller start the next three games. By next Friday, Tampa will essentially be in a flat foot tie with us if they take care of business against Baltimore. Please post the panic button. At the end of this game, it gets pushed.
  16. In the biggest game of the year, Lester came up very small-- one of his worst starts of the season.
  17. Aviles is a bush league hack just like I told you guys.
  18. 54 pitches 3 outs
  19. 50 pitches and he gotten 3 outs. Please!!!
