  1. Game management has never been Tito's strength. That's more like his nap time. He needs a stacked team where it doesn't matter what buttons he pushes during the game.
  2. Some new blood is needed. It is time for some changes. As an organization, the Yankees are deeper in talent at every level. Maybe I'm believing their hype, but Montero certainly looks like a prime time hitter, far better than Lavarnway. Their minor league pitching is much deeper than ours too. Let Theo take the Cubs job.
  3. A Rays sweep of the Sox this weekend is highly unlikely. The O's have taken the heat off the Sox big time by beating the Rays the last 2 days.
  4. f*** him.
  5. Poor poor Theo. He's so unlucky. All the good players were taken. No one was available. It would have been too expensive to get any reinforcements. Plus, we wouldn't want to sacrifice the future by trading any of the numerous future superstars in our system. You'll see. They'll be here any year now. If JH and the other owners buy this crap ^ they are soft in the head.
  6. This is just pulled righ out of the back of your shorts.
  7. He's been over-used. This is the result. He is fatigued and he has lost his command. The same thing has been going on with Albers for 6 weeks, but they keep going to him. They'll have to keep going to bard too and there will be mote of this. Tito doesn't have the luxury of not going to Bard. Our starters can't pitch deep into games. The horse s*** starting staff that we have had for the entire season has taken its toll on one of our few reliable bullpen arms. The lack of quality starts has been an issue all season long and it went completely unaddressed. Since there will be no opportunity to rest him, I doubt that he can return to the dominant form that he had earlier in the season.
  8. Now you know what the 9th inning looked like before Papelbon and what it will look like after him.
  9. Jeesh!! Take this back. Why would you say something like this?
  10. He would have been good enough to keep us in games and win one or two during this bad stretch, and yes he is significantly better than those guys. Wakefield is an empty shell. Lackey is having the worst season of any starter in history and Miller is just not consistent enough to be a major league pitcher.
  11. He's an empty shell.
  12. Funny thing. I had tickets to this game but could not make it. I sold them on Stub Hub. I still have the hard copy tickets.
  13. I think Ryan Dempster is much better than Wake, miller or Lackey. The argument about him pitching in the NL central holds no water for me. He's on a horrible team that has the worst defense in all of baseball. They are not bad defensively. They are the worst. Also i would have seen what Millwood could do. Again, we didn't need to pick up several pitchers just 1 or 2, because 1 or 2 victories is all that we needed in this stretch.
  14. ...and that is saying a lot, considering that Wake's ERA is comfortably above 5.
  15. The way this game started I thought that Wake would never get his 200th win. He looked terrible. i would not be the least bit surprised that #200 is his last.
  16. Stop all the hitting. Save some for tomorrow. Plus, all this base running after being flat for a week could result in pulled muscles.
  17. 17-5-- this is Lackey,Wake, and Albers-proof.
  18. So you like the little spinner type?
  19. Sucking pretty much made him obsolete.
  20. I heard that Dipre proposed after you made him a breakfast of potatos and eggs.
  21. Lester was bad, but he is never scary. When he takes the hill, I feel pretty good. I never have that feeling when the 3 buckets of s***-- lackey, Wakefield and Miller take the ball-- never.
  22. Conor Jackson sighting. We must be up a load of runs. I think he fell down the dugout steps and hit his head on the back wall of the dugout after that Sac Fly.
