  1. I am glad we got AGon, but he needs to shut up right now and get some big hits.
  2. If I wasn't so upset, this would have had me chuckling. http://lansdowneandthestreets.bandcamp.com/
  3. I felt certain when he stayed away from the first inning woes that he would be money today, and then he got that look and the wheels came off. If we can't take a Lester start to the bank, we're cooked. He's gone down 3 times in a row. Very distressing.
  4. The Angels just won and picked up a game. If we drop the double dip tomorrow and both Tampa and the Angels win, we will go into the last series in a tie with Tampa and the Angels 1 game behind. The Yanks will dump the 3 games to Tampa, so the Sox will have to sweep the O's to force a 1 game playoff. The Sox are more hapless right now than any team that I have ever watched. We are depending on Wakefield and Lackey tomorrow. Wow!!! Who is pitching game 1?
  5. Who the heck knows. I'd hope that it is fatigue, but he is a big young guy and he's not even going to crack 200 innings this season. It doesn't seem like he should be worn out. I might be projecting, but he had the look of a choker on the mound today. He looked tentative. He lost his release point and command very badly. Who knows.
  6. He was here the other day when we were getting bitch slapped by the Orioles I think. I could be wrong about it being the Orioles, because several teams have bitch-slapped the sox recently.
  7. That's right. We should be targeting Tampa's GM not their idiot, dementia medicine spokesperson, Drew Carey look-a-like manager. Their GM apparently knows a lot about pitching, because they have much more of it than we do-- and it's cheap too.
  8. Opinion is pretty overwhelming on this issue. He's toast. He's been toast for at least 2 seasons. It's obvious to everyone except his mother.
  9. Plus we don't have arms for depth like Matt Moore and Torres. Let's not forget that they let Garza-- a pretty good pitcher- walk.
  10. Homer by Zobrist and the Rays take the lead 3-2.
  11. Maddon lifted Nieman after 1 inning. No 7 run rule for him.
  12. Toronto made 2 errors plus they let a two out popup drop in in the bottom of the first. Score tied 2-2. Two unearned runs.
  13. Romero vs. Nieman
  14. Bautista with a 2-run Homer in the first inning against the Rays. Both of these teams are choking. Lol!!! Whoever gets in is going to back in.
  15. Garcia has made Crawford look like a fool in every AB.
  16. I thought I had seen everything in 45 years, but I was wrong. I had never imagined that i would see this type of collapse. Thanks Theo and Tito for the World Championships, but no thanks in advance for this collapse. This is going to be a hard one to live down, especially living in NY. I will hear the "Choker" stuff for years if we don't win the WS soon.
  17. Garcia formula: Get ahead and make them chase. That is why a guy that throws 84 can still win at this level.
  18. The psyche of this team has been shattered. There is no chance that they can pull themselves out of this death spiral. They are no longer circling the drain. They are in the drain. They had no resiliency... none. Lester had 3 opportunities to stop the bleeding. He failed all 3 times. Bard has had a terrible month and s*** the bed a few times. Beckett had the opportunity to turn things around and he couldn't finish the job. Papelbon blew a critical game. No one came up big. . .no one. There was no resiliency.
