    Some of it is too specific to have come from people with general access. There are numerous examples. The first one I remember were the stories regarding the confrontations with Nomar and the FO immediately prior to his trade. It seems that there were few witnesses to those conversations, but it was written about in great detail. This organization has been very effective when it comes to plugging leaks about trades. People were basically put on notice that they would lose their jobs if the info leaked, and the leaks stopped. The personal character assassination has been allowed to go on without being curbed. The trade leaks were definitely coming from lower level organization people. If they could put a lid on that, they could put a lid on this stuff too. It's a question of organizational leadership. What is everyone else going to think when your owner is openly questioning and disagreeing with the last big FA signing by his former GM, while the player is still under contract? They are going to think it is okay to bash the guy who left.

    It's a slow news day in the baseball world ^This move is reportedly being made to free up payroll for Bobby Oatmeal.

    MDC had a few real good stretches over a couple of seasons. His WHIP in those seasons was pretty good. He never had a WHIP in the minors or majors close to as high as Carpenter. I don't see the comparison. Plus MDC had a plus curve. Carpenter's curve is reportedly very weak.

    I don't think his body type will affect his reflexes, but it will break his body down starting in his knees and legs. If he keeps the weight off, he should be fine. He should play at no more than 205. He's been at 220-225 for the past several seasons. They might decide to part ways with him after the season, but he may still be very productive for 3-4 more years.

    I saw Youk on the Sox Report on NESN last night. He looks like he has trimmed a few lbs. He needed to do that. Whether he plays 1st or 3rd, he was carrying too much weight. On the other side of 30, it's better to be light and flexible as opposed to muscular and thick.

    I don't pat myself on the back for that. I like Ital. He had some anger issues that I exploited, and I regret that. What can't you take? I made one age crack tonight and it set you off. Plenty of us here endure age cracks every day on this forum. Suck it up. Shake it off. Embrace your inner hag. J/K

    I've left you be for years, but figured turnabout was fair play after years of your sniping. Since you obviously can't take what you dish, maybe you should take your own advice, especially since I am capable of inflicting physical injury over the internet and across an ocean. Edit: BTW: People who troll me always end up more annoyed than I do. It's a Brooklyn skill.

    Yeah, you have. I guess you can dish it ... As for the rationalizing the thing with Ital, I don't rationalize it at all. We went at each other and worked each other up into some nastiness. The whole thing passed in one night. I can't imagine why you need to relive that argument. My disagreements with Ital were mild compared to other disagreements I and others here have had.

    I really don't think getting anything for Epstein was a priority. They wanted to go in a different direction and the Cubs job came up at a very convenient time for both Epstein and ownership.

    If I had a nickel for every time that I was called old fart, etc here, I'd be able to buy a few extra tickets to Fenway. You're a little sensitive about the age thing. What's with bringing up the ban constantly. I was not perma-banned like a few of our members in good standing. BTW, People 30 years younger than me are full fledged adults. At 23 I was married and in Law School, fully capable of taking on old men in arguments. Ital and I got off on the wrong foot, and Yeszir, wisely gave us a cooling off period. Ital and I moved passed it, but apparently you haven't, because you keep bringing it up. Repeating oneself is a warning sign of senility. You should be aware of that. Don't be so sensitive about being and old hag. That's coming from an old fart.
