  1. I don't remember him being a soft tosser.
  2. I noticed that Kershaw left today's game after 3 innings. What was the story behind that?
  3. He got through 5 innings and he looked pretty good . I was at the game. He was at 88-89 consistently.
  4. He was an exceptional fielder whaen he was with the Sox. He made plays that Shortstops on the Sox haven't made in recent memory or before his arrival for that matter.
  5. If Cafardo is Bobby V's mouthpiece Bard will probably be on a short leash as a starter.
  6. Iortiz and I were pretty much on an island by ourselves at the time. I also said several times that if they recovered enough to make the playoffs that there would be no basis for criticism. So, the bolded part is just talking through your hat. I am not looking for a pissing contest with you so let's just end it. You are short on facts and spoiling for a fight. I'm not interested.:thumbdown
  7. BTW, I am on record taking the position that our starting staff is not 8 deep. I don't want to be accused of 20-20 hindsight if 1 or more black holes crop up in the rotation due to injury.
  8. Well, there were a lot of people here that weren't as smart as blind baboons according to your assessment, because they were arguing with me and others right to the last week of the season. Let me address your snark, by assuring you that I was not patting myself on the back. I took offense to the accusation of complaining with the benefit of 20-20 hindsight. I complain from the get go if I don't like a move or the configuration of our roster. Just because my complaints turn out to be right doesn't make the complaint hind sight.
  9. UN really has an obsession with A700... don't ya think?
  10. With 2 wild card spots, a lot more teams will be alive and in the playoff hunt at the trading deadline. There will be many more buyers than sellers than in past seasons. It will be very difficult to build during the season.
  11. I did in the Bold Predictions thread. I had the wrong body part though.
  12. I am in complete agreement with this. The FO made all the wrong moves and no-moves that could have been made down the stretch. Their bumbling became an embarrassment as they were scrambling in the last week of the season to pick up Bruce Chen and Chris Capuano during the final weekend.
  13. What did you see that makes you think he can repeat his delivery from the stretch? I was at the game when they first tried it. He threw 2 or 3 pitches and one almost went to the backstop. Then he left the game and went on the DL.
  14. and he's only 33 years old.
  15. Is this good news or bad news? :dunno:
  16. I was just curious if you had read something.
  17. Albers ERA was approaching 5 last year. Gonzalez' lifetime ERA is under 3.
  18. Neither do I, but there generally aren't many trades at this time of year unless a team is looking to clear a roster spot like the Angels would like to do with Abreu. Have there been any reports that there are pitchers that teams are looking to dump? I haven't seen any.
  19. At least I accused you out in the open and not behind your back. :thumbdown.
