  1. Sabathia is a true ace, year in and year out. It is a very stabilizing force to have a guy like that. Yankee fans can go f*** themselves.
  2. It would really be nice to have a stopper - a true ace- like a halladay, Cain, Verland or Sabathia. It would be nice to have a lot of confidence once every 5 days.
  3. This would be really funny if it wasn't so true.
  4. Some of us here who thought we were being realistic about the team's prospects were derisively called pessimists. I'm not aiming this at anyone as an I told you so. I understand optimistic sentiments before a season starts. I have been there many times. Also, I'm not engaging in any back patting. I couldn't engage in back-patting even if wanted to do so. Despite my disagreement with the off season moves, I always felt that this was a talented squad that would be competitive for most of the season. I did fear that it was likely the team's pitching would get stressed to the breaking point and eventually break as the season wore on. I never envisioned such ineptitude and dullness from the very start. None of the so-called pessimists here were pessimistic enough. This is complete failure.
  5. It is quite a statement of failure that this team has someone like you at that point by May 10th. You were brimming with enthusiasm only a few weeks ago.
  6. Some people only get 18 off days in a whole year of work.
  7. They only get 18 off days a year. Someone needs to remind this jerk that he only has 35 scheduled work days a year, and he never makes all of his starts.
  8. Beckett says that he'll spend his off-days the way he wants to spend his off days.
  9. Really, what can he say? He'd rather dig a hole than be at that podium.
  10. Bag of Rocks. Let's face it, managers are pretty dumb. If a manager played Jeopardy against a bowling ball, the bowling ball would win.
  11. How bad do you suck if you get pinch hit for by a guy hitting .138.
  12. What a train wreck. How long can they keep playing like this? This is definitely the worst stretch since Joe Kerrigan's tenure. This should end the sellout streak and Bobby V's managerial career.
  13. We have three hitters in our lineup. That's all we got. Daniel nava is batting 6th. That says it all.
  14. She was wondering if you know a700Hitter.
  15. The Orioles did something today that we can't do. They beat Texas. Chen went78 2/3 innings and gave up only 2 runs throwing only 102 pitches. We don't have any pitcher that can do that against the Royals never mind against the Rangers.
  16. I don't think we will see any trade, unless it is a waiver wire trade.
  17. It was one of the bad changes made at Fenway-- having the standings on the manual scoreboard. On Saturday, it gave me a sinking feeling to see the Sox at the bottom.
