Some of us here who thought we were being realistic about the team's prospects were derisively called pessimists. I'm not aiming this at anyone as an I told you so. I understand optimistic sentiments before a season starts. I have been there many times. Also, I'm not engaging in any back patting. I couldn't engage in back-patting even if wanted to do so. Despite my disagreement with the off season moves, I always felt that this was a talented squad that would be competitive for most of the season. I did fear that it was likely the team's pitching would get stressed to the breaking point and eventually break as the season wore on. I never envisioned such ineptitude and dullness from the very start. None of the so-called pessimists here were pessimistic enough. This is complete failure.
