    The Red Sox should be sponsored by a psychiatric pharmaceutical company. They should be able to sell plenty of product to Sox fans this season.

    Getting the team healthy will not happen until possibly July. By that time we could be well entrenched in last place in too deep a hole.

    Oh, the entire history of the Red Sox is dominated by racism. Who are you Obama? The history of the Red Sox is about the players on the field. For me that history started in 1967. There was no Babe. There was no curse. BTW: "I love 2 teams, the Red Sox and who ever beats the Yankees". is a great line. It has been my philosophy for many years.

    Speaking for myself, I hate the Yankees, because they have been our toughest competition for as long as I can remember. Speaking of nonsense, what the hell are you talking about with regard to lambs to slaughter, teaching fairy tales etc.?

    As a Red Sox fan, I hated Steinbrenner. My Dad insisted that Steinbrenner ruined the game, but I would have loved to have had an owner that was so insistent on winning and excellence.

    Josh Reddick was 4 for 4 and a walk tonight with 2 HRs, 5 RBI and 4 Runs. Reddick has 8 HRs already-- more than anyone on the Red Sox. Sweeney has 0.

    Doji is right. We are over reacting to Beckett. He's an infuriating jackass, but he is not going anywhere. He is just emblematic of the spoiled entitled prima donas that dominate the sporting world. They pretty much all think the way he does. The environment and culture breeds this sense of entitlement. The system that produces professional athletes makes them this way. Beckett is mote arrogant and dense than most, so he will not back off his beliefs even when cornered and completely wrong. Make no mistake about it, they are all like him. He just refuses to put on the public face-- which is nothing more than a trained skill. I can respect that about the jerk. He's not a phony. There's no phony in that man. For better or worse, we are stuck with him. Hopefully, he will pitch to his potential and soon. That's the best we can hope for.

    ^ this is a GM who is doing his job. Our guy, the Boob (I am dropping the Benny part), sits there and tells us that things will come around and fall into place and that he is happy with our pitching staff, etc. He was unaware when Sergio Santos was available. He couldn't lock down Mike Gonzalez who went to the Nats. Reports are that he talked to Boras about Gonzalez, but Gonzalez preferred the Nats. Good job, boob. He also let a free Bobby Abreu slip through his fingers and instead brought up Daniel Nava. I would take back Dan Duquette in a heart beat. This guy is a jackass.
