  1. You will be sitting right by Jenny Dell.
  2. If you want to hum a tune, I suggest that you go to the "What song are you listening to" thread.
  3. This is not a sports or Red Sox Story. Enough of this.
  4. ^ Why this? SoxSport is cool.
  5. I am hoping that he finds something to turn things around for him. Time is running out on him.
  6. I am not anxious to see him pitch. I am looking for some backup activity in case he gets his doors blown off early.
  7. We're at.500 and Bard is going against Verlander tomorrow. Wer are going nowhere fast.
  8. It was still a mistake. The fact that it wasn't costly is just happenstance.
  9. I think there is a risk of a mistake. He made one yesterday when he overthrew the cutoff man. That cost a run. I don't see this as an injury risk. If the guy does his work and keeps his legs in shape, there shouldn't be any additional injury risk.
  10. Gonzo, Sweeney and Nava in the OF. Gagging. Some balls could find the alleys.
  11. He should be moving fine. He hurt his shoulder and had upper spinal surgery. Swinging the bat and throwing will be the issues for him.
  12. You need some patsies in the division to pick up ground fast. This year there are too many teams to climb over and none are patsies.
  13. E1, I was with you when you said that the Sox would still be in contention if they were at .500 when the injured players started to return, but then you lost me when you included Dice K and Melancon as being helpful. That is not a reasonable expectation.
  14. Hanging onto .500 until August will have us near the bottom of the division. That won't work. They need to do better than a .500 record at the start of August.
  15. There isn't always a good cheap closer available. You do run the risk of having a disaster at the end of your pen. The thing with a guy like Mo and Paps is that you don't have to worry about that aspect and you can build the rest of your team. The main reason for the Yankees consistent playoff appearances IMO has been Mo. There will be a season when the Rays lose a lot of games late using their philosophy. It could be this year. Rodney is not that good.
  16. He should have left the lineup alone. WMB makes more consistent contact.
  17. Yes, but don't get a big head over it.
  18. Apparently, I am not the only one who sees a trend in the inordinately lengthy recovery times of today's players. Even their employers have noticed.
