    Tickets go on sale in 2 days. Unless we see some moves in the next day or 2, the advanced sales will be very slow. Maybe they are waiting to gauge the degree of interest/disinterest in the team before they make any moves. I think they will be shocked at the lack of interest.

    I don't chose to roll by telling other posters what they think or how they will think or react. You bring up Cherries and how we interpret what he will do. There is a big difference. Cherries is not engaged in discussion with us. If he were, I'd ask him what he thinks. He's not here, so we all speculate. I am right here to ask what I think. I share my thoughts freely, usually without anyone asking, but don't tell me what I think. My mind is far too complex to fathom by some internet posters on a message board.

    Napoli's average is not very high either. I am not sure that the difference in price tags is justified if Napoli is going to be the primary first baseman.

    You may be right. Hopefully, the FO has a good read on this one way or the other. As Branch Rickey used to say, it's better to trade a player one year too early than one year too late.

    I am hoping that the problem is just in his head. He's been in Boston since 2006 so he should be mentally tough enough to survive managerial and pitching coach changes. You make a good point about Salty. I think throwing to Salty may have hurt his game. The big goof just cannot give a good low target and everyone's pitches have been a little up. He needs to go. That could be one of the biggest improvements to the staff.

    That may be more than a year old, but Lester didn't do anything to move past it as he acted like a spoiled child for the entire 2012 year. His attitude was terrible. Attitude could be a big part of his problem. I am hoping that the problem was attitude and in his head. It's preferable to a physical injury or problem.
