  1. I liked what I saw from Lester. I don't know if he recovered his movement and raw stuff, but he and Buchholz have both picked up the pace and established better rhythms which I think is a key to success for both of them. Lester has always had trouble when he labors and slows his pace since he first came to the majors. Once he started to quicken the pace and attack the zone he was successful. The same goes for Buchholz. In the last couple of years, I think Beckett had a very negative influence on both of them in this regard. If Dempster has found a new life with the splitter, maybe he will be effective despite subpar velocity. There has been more good news than bad with the starters. Lackey has had some bumps. Doubront has the stuff, but does he have the command to improve over last year. We don't have depth if any of these guys falter. Morales is having back trouble and he is not ready to take starts any time soon. He's not even ready for the pen. De La Rosa is not ready to be an MLB starter. I guess that Webster is first on the depth chart at this point.
  2. If you could drop the personal animosity for a minute, you might be surprised that I do agree with you on occasion, and in this instance you convinced me that you were right to wait the 12 days.
  3. Wow, a foursome - me and 3 *******s. I am enjoying this. Where do I start first?
  4. If you read my post, I did not tell her to not butt in.
  5. Yes, pretty much I am an open book. If you don't like the book, don't read it, you book burning censor.
  6. Yes, and you needed to say it 5 times to counter my 3. Overkill.
  7. He is intentionally a douche. He doesn't back away from it. But by all means butt in here too.
  8. So you felt the need to point it out 5 times. I got what you were saying the first time.
  9. There. Does that make it easier for you to understand. Although my post was very poorly worded, your interpretatiom that i was suggesting to have him start the season in Fenway, then sending him down if he couldn't hack it and then bringing him up again in 2 weeks just didn't make sense, especially since I posted this on the previous page: this last point is the key. This was my response to you a page earlier. In case you couldn't tell, I was agreeing with you.
  10. *******. I never start with you, but you can't help yourself. *******s never can.
  11. No. As usual you don't have it correct.
  12. I made 3 posts expressing 2 completely different thoughts about the WBC, but you made 5 posts telling me to shut up in various ways. You might want to consider the possibility that it is you who should give it a rest.
  13. You must be special. How many times do I have to say wait the 12 days before bringing him up?
  14. Seriously, you constantly try to silence those with whom you disagree. You should volunteer to go burn books at your public library.
  15. Keep your vendettas rolling. It is what you do best.
  16. If you read my post, I said to wait the 12 days before bringing him up. He is better than Sweeney or Nava wearing an eye patch. i guess that you have not read your posts responding to me. You have consistently been a douche. I don't take that from people with clearly inferior intellect -- unless they are "special" , in which case I would let it slide. Are you "special"?
  17. True. His first WBC helped get him his MLB contract, but his second WBC ruined his career.
  18. If he can't hack it, they can send him back for more seasoning. Wait the 12 days and bring him up if he is doing well. Nava and Sweeney are a very low bar. I don't admire anything about you.
  19. I'll keep expressing it, so if you already "get it", skip over my post in this thread. BTW, it was two wholly different opinions: one about the injury possibility to MLB players and the other about how the teams are formed. Pardon me if it took me a whole 3 posts to express those two thoughts. The next time I will consult you about how to be more succinct.
  20. And I am not telling you not to enjoy or to not say that you enjoy it. I think you should afford me the opportunity to express my opinion.
  21. I have some Russian blood. My grandfather's ship manifest says that he arrived in 1910 from Bellarus. Should I play for the Russian team. Neither me nor my family has had any connection with that country for over 100 years, except I have dined at the Russian Tea Room once. That should qualify me to manage them if they had a team. Maybe I can coach their Hockey team.
  22. The ballparks look empty when I have tuned in. I hate the tournament, because Selig is pimping MLB players for reasons that i don't believe benefit the US fan. Too many pitchers have fouled themselves up in this tournament for nothing. It ruined Dice K's career IMO.
  23. Enjoy! Have a slice of pizza and root for Italy. If you were a man, eating the pizza would make you eligible to be the manager.
  24. He is not raw at all. His game is very refined. He has plate discipline that Wily mo couldn't dream of. IMO, he has better plate discipline than Ells.
  25. Seriously, you are comparing Bradley to Wily Mo who was complete project? Terrible terrible analogy. Bradley can contribute with his glove, arm and speed even if he doesn't hit initially. Wily Mo was a train wreck in every aspect except for HR distance. Tito was afraid to put him out their because he played every ball like it was a hand grenade. Inconsistent playing time was not Wily Mo's problem.
