    Does Youk have his annual back spasms? If that's it, he'll miss close to a week, but his back will be okay the rest of the season.

    Agreed, but some guys do hit a ceiling and never progress. I was just pointing out that they have some work ahead to progress. I have noticed that Renaudo is off to a fast start in Portland. He may take the next step before Barnes.

    Yes, it is a long season, but until they demonstrate mastery at those levels they will not be promoted.

    Barnes has been struggling at AA and De La Rosa hasn't had even a mediocre outing at AAA.

    I have always been a Nava fan. I was at the game when he hit the Grand Slam on the first pitch he saw in the majors. However, I didn't think he had what it takes to stick in the majors for more than a few cups of coffee. He is proving me wrong.

    This is the first time in a few years that the Red Sox have had 12 wins in April. It looks to be a fairly well-balanced squad. Webster looks like a decent depth option. I didn't think they would go to him this early in the season. One of the keys to the team is Victorino. He's a sparkplug, and a great fielder. A few balls dropped in yesterday that he would have caught. Our OF defense is atrocious when Victorino is not on the field.

    This is still much better than the 4th place team that I was expecting, so I am not too upset. You are going to lose some excruciating games along the way.
