  1. The part in bold above about the Sox having shutdown arms in the pen when those guys return should have been stated conditionally with regard to health issues. You stated it as a certainty. To which, I appropriately responded "duh", then you backed off the certainty and added the condition turning the "when'" they return into an "If" they return-- to which I responded asking you to make up your mind. Are you saying "when" or "if". You really are off your game today. And you had set the bar so low for yourself.
  2. He's really off his game today.
  3. You responded to my comment. You are the one who is not following.
  4. No, that was not my point.
  5. Former Met, Pedro Beato?
  6. Old news. This was reported last night.
  7. Especially, when my avatar is the sweetest doggie ever. Internet jackass comes much easier to you.
  8. What is the latest word on Morales?
  9. UN, calling you a pill is one of the kinder things someone could say about you. A "pill" is not necessarily a bad thing. If I wanted to personally attack you, it would be much harsher than "pill" so stop your whining. I think you maybe menstruating today. Try some cranberry juice. I hear that can help.
  10. Make up your mind. Is it "when" or "if"?
  11. Until they can get Bailey and/or Hanrahan back, the starters nee to go deeper into games more often so the weaknesses of the pen don't get exploited.
  12. There are still a lot of good arms in the pen, but it doesn't have that late-inning dominant shut down capability.
  13. We knew filling Papelpon's shoes was going to be very difficult. It took 40 years to replace Dick Radatz.
  14. We have 2 closers and neither one can keep the job due to injuries. I guess Uehara gets to cloe until they make it back. Forearm tightness is never a good thing for pitchers.
  15. Nava has been very good from the right side this season.
  16. No, they don't. They can react whatever way they want. It's a message board. Those who look to censor others are insufferable. Talk about baseball, not posters.
  17. I think that he got DL'd after today's game.
  18. If Pedey was in a hot streak, it would be a different story. They took advantage of our weak links. That's what good teams do.
  19. The glove wag is annoying.
  20. it is pretty amazing to me that we got off to this hot start with Pedroia playing so far below par. IMO, he has been the guy that makes this team go for several years already. When he is hot, we win a lot. He has been really cold, and we are winning a lot. He will turn it around, and in the words of Ortiz, someone is going to pay. As for this weekend, Texas is a really strong team and we have played competitively against them with the bottom of our rotation (probably the weakest aspect of our team). They have not blow our doors off. Last year, they would have pummeled us.
  21. Welcome to TalkSox. If possible you should get to Fenway. Lots of tickets are a vailable this season. You will see plenty of changes since your last visit.
