  1. Enjoy the game.
  2. I didn't assign blame did I? The outcome here is really absurd. The guy is getting sore from inactivity. It's a ridiculous thing to happen more than half way through the season.
  3. He's a pampered princess, but today most of them are that way.
  4. Who is going down the non-baseball path now? Enough already.
  5. People have been jumping all over you for days on this issue, but this outcome is absurdly funny.
  6. If you don't go down the non-baseball route, I will not either.
  7. So coming back now after he has lost his conditioning he will run the risk of inuring himself if he ramps up too fast.
  8. Yeszir and YOTN specifically asked us to stop poking at each other. I have held up my part of that, but this at least your second unprovoked attack. Have a nice day.
  9. It doesn't matter to me if they overpaid. I am only concerned whether they have improved themselves this season. They will be tough in the post season.
  10. There are very few posters with whom I have not reached some form of accord. I ain't going away, so those who had the insane thought that they could chase me from here have long given up on that hope. Also, I am here all the time. It's exhausting to maintain the level of hatred that some directed toward me. LOL!! I think they might have realized that I am only talking baseball and not killing their mothers. My opinions about sports are blunt. I see no reason to hold back on a message board.
  11. It would have to be a low level guy.
  12. I hate the guy from his Met days. Yes, there are worse pitchers, but this guy is not worth a prospect.
  13. I've been reading you lately. LOL!! You've been less of an asshat lately.
  14. I knew he didn't have me on ignore. I am a must read. No one ignores me. LOL!!
  15. A reactionary gamethread post. Big whoop. I think Lee is a pipedream and have said it many times. I think the only way we could get Lee was if we took Paps off their hands. It's Lee that I want. We need a starter.
  16. Twins will not move him. They believe that they will have him closing games for years to come.
  17. I think that he only wanted to bring him back for a low lovel prospect. Edit: I think most of the arguments happen when some people (myself included) say that we miss Papelbon. The Papelbon hatred comes fast and furious in response to those sentiments. I'll never understand the Papelbon hatred from Sox fans. The guy was a reliable stud for us. Missing Papelbon doesn't equate to wanting to reacquire him. But haters gotta hate.
  18. Who are all these people that think we should bring back Papelbon? We have a closer. We need setup arms, a starter and a right handed productive bat.
  19. It would be foolish not to reinforce this team for the stretch run.
  20. People would have lined up around Fenway this past offseason to offer to drive Lackey to the airport to get out of town.
  21. And those O's are lurking. Last night's win was huge. The race really would have tightened up if we had lost. We played sloppily and stupidly the last 2 games. The need to get back to playing smart.
  22. I don't think you look to trade a cheap experienced pitcher who is pitching like he did in his prime and who is a proven winner. Lester will be the guy leaving if he doesn't straighten himself out. Also, I would consider trading Buch if he can ever put up 200 innings and look like an ace. I don't think he can do that even once, certainly not more than once.
  23. There is no arguing that Doubront has been a major contribtuor to this team. He takes the ball every 5th day snd keeps his team competitive. Also, he seems to always perform well against the Yankees. You have to love that. The problem right now is that he is not our #4 or #5. He is our #2 right now. It's not a knock on him, but a commentary on just how thin we are in our front line pitching.
  24. Thank you. UN couldn't close on my lead at all.
