  1. Great night all around. It's so much more fun to watch a competitive team with fight than the garbage that we had to watch last year. Whether we make the post season or not, this has been a fun season.
  2. But his numbers are great. So much for numbers. Anyone who has been watching for about the last 8-10 years knowsthat he is money in the bank to choke against the skanks.
  3. He's a very deliberate guy, but sometimes you have to act before the competition does. I am not a KRod fan, so no loss there, but he will have to make a decision.
  4. Butterball gets plenty of notice every year.
  5. I thought Hale was a good third base coach.
  6. Agenda? Exactly how can a fan have an agenda? So ridiculous. We are observers with no power, authority or influence.
  7. Butterball is a terrible third base coach. He has made some terrible decisions lately.
  8. It's a damn shame that you can't stop poking at me like the mods have asked. This is the third time from you, but I will continue to show great restraint. Enjoy the game.
  9. Interesting. If we kept all of those guys, we wouldn't be any better today. Very few of the traded prospects have made any impact. Trade away Benny Boy!!!
  10. None of those stats are needed to see that Lester has stunk for the last 2 seasons. Watching the games tells you that. The stats just confirm it for the doubting Thomases.
  11. I love Pedey, but I thought people here thought that our FO should not be giving out $100 million contracts. I hope he stays healthy and productive.
  12. Right now, we do not have a top 2 that can compare to Price and Moore. That rotation is built for the post season.
  13. They have been to the WS twice in recent years. I guess that they are hoping that the third time will be a charm. As for Cruz, I would think the Rangers have a heads up on that situation and made the move with full knowledge of that situation.
  14. The Yankees have made a habit of getting guys like this for free. The other teams have been picking up the salaries and the Yankees give up some palooka of a prospect.
  15. I think the guy is physically fragile. If he can put up a full season, I would sell high on him, because I have no confidence that he will ever be a reliable innings eater.
  16. I am thinking that he will throw on the side for the next 5 days then send him out on a rehab for 3 starts in 2 weeks. Hopefully, he will be back in 3 weeks. If this takes 6 weeks, we are talking about a Labor Day return.
  17. But Shields is still really good.
  18. They can send him to the minors where Jose Contreras can take him under his wing.
  19. This is a scary week playing the Red hot Rays. I will be in a state of shock if we are in 3rd place after this series.
  20. ^ Yep, this is exactly how I feel. I think Seattle could be the team that rises up in afew years with their young pitching.
  21. The whole scenario is bizarre.
  22. If he turns it around, they probably extend him. If he continues to stink, we will not get much for him.
  23. As someone who remembers the game in the 1960's, I can tell you that today's players is a pampered wuss. Calling Buch a candy ass is not a big stretch. He has plenty of company. He also had good reason to distrust our incompetent medical staff. The whole process just took too long.
  24. I said it at the time and I stand by it. I didn't care if we got anyone in return. If either of the remaining guys 2 guys of the 5 guys we received does anything, it will be gravy.
