  1. game better not get rained out. Can't wait to see lester pitch.
  2. ya Rheinecker has pitched great this year, especially after his first start. It seems like most pitchers seem to pitch most better after their first major league start. So if Lester isnt great tommorow, its not the end of the world for him.
  3. my prediction for Lester tommorow... 6.0, 4 hits, 3 R, 1 HR, 3 BB, 5 K
  4. 5 more random Grimsley facts...
  5. Rockies traded for Kaz Matsui today, sending Eli Marrero to NY
  6. Wonder if Leyritz mentioned any names
  7. Yahoo-- that trade would be fine with me if we dont give up a high round pick
  8. Id much rather the starter, Hansen's the next Mo.
  9. what position is he playing most in Pawtucket? SS or 2B?
  10. Great Game tonight. Schill got a little lucky, but whatever, ill take it. Papelbon was dirty in he 9th, like usual K'ing Giambi and Arod to end it.
  11. In this 3 game series, which had Pauley, Beckett and Schilling pitch, it looks like Pauley will have had the best start of the 3, unless Schill no-hits them the rest of the way.
  12. looks like Giambi's suppyling Damon with some of that "good stuff"
  13. AL: 1B: Thome 2B: Cano SS: Tejada 3B: Lowell C: Mauer OF: Ichiro, Wells, and Vlad NL: 1B: Pujols 2B: Utley SS: Renteria 3B: Cabrera C: Barrett OF: Holliday, Bay, Soriano
  14. id rather see Pauley Sunday than Clement, but there would be no real option for Clement in that situation.
  15. i dont think either did, but McGwire did play for the A's during the team Grimsley was on the west coast. So its possible McGwire was one of the guys getting it from Mexico.
  16. Jeters still out? Maybe that injury is worse than suspected, kinda like Crisp's was.
  17. about a possible Lee to NY trade mlbtraderumors
  18. Couple players from that 96 Angels team possibly connected.. Garrett Anderson Tim Salmon Chili Davis?? Jim Edmonds Chuck Finley also... Dante Bichette Lance Parrish Wally Joyner
  19. interesting article on mlbtraderumors
  20. Delcarmen possibly, but there really wasnt much of a choice.
  21. Lester and Pauley better pitch or ill be pretty pissed. Especially if Clement gets a start over those 2.
  22. Boston.com-- Tonight's rainout is all but guaranteed to be made up as a doubleheader during the Sox' only remaining visit to Yankee Stadium, Sept. 15-17. The Sox and Yankees do share three mutual off days (July 27, Aug. 7, and Sept. 7), but team spokesman John Blake said it appears at the moment that a doubleheader will be the route the teams choose. The Sox play here Friday, Sept. 15, at 7:05 p.m., Saturday Sept. 16 at 1:20 p.m., and Sunday, Sept. 17 at 1:05. Saturday seems the most logical day to play a doubleheader, especially when considering that the Sunday game is a designated ESPN game, meaning the station can decide up until 16 days before the game to move it to 8:05 p.m. and broadcast it, Blake said. Curt Schilling, who was scheduled to pitch tonight, will pitch tomorrow against Jaret Wright. The Yankees could have skipped Wright to pitch Randy Johnson but did not. Tim Wakefield, who was supposed to start tomorrow against Johnson, will pitch Friday at home vs. Texas. Josh Beckett remains in line to pitch the nightcap in Saturday's doubleheader vs. Texas. Matt Clement, who was scheduled to pitch Friday, wasn't sure, when asked, when he'll pitch. Nor was David Pauley. Jon Lester was expected to pitch Saturday's matinee but his debut might now be on hold. Francona, leaving the park, wasn't prepared to announce any more of his rotation than Schilling, Wakefield, and Beckett.
  23. Sox drafted--53 players (College: 26, High School: 19, Juco: 9, Other: 0) Position Players: 27 Pitchers: 27
  24. If they give up Hughes for Lee, i would be the happiest Sox fan alive. I want Lee to, but would never give up someone like Lester or Hansen for him.
