  1. Hey Kilo, HE f***IN BATS AND HE f***IN STRIKES OUT AND CAN'T HIT A f***IN CURVE.. I will agree that four at-bats does not aid in timing your swing, but you have to see him flail away at breaking balls to understand that this guy has a hole in his swing the size of Mount Everest. I will also concede that if Crisp keep stinking up the lineup we might have to give WMP a shot at four at-bats a game. We need to upgrade the bottom half of our lineup any way we can. Too bad Crisp can't get some walks like Pedroia can. At least if he got on base he could steal some sacks for us.
  2. Schill, I just got back from Boston and the word is out all around baseball. You throw Pena a breaking ball and he is toast pure and simple. He will be pulling the same s*** he did in Cincy after his promising year there in 2004. He regressed badly and they got rid of him. He is absolutely useless to us. He looks like barf warmed over up at the plate. Unfortunately, so does Crisp and what's worse it looks like there is no escape for him. He wants out of Boston now that the fans are all over his ass, and big mouth comments about not caring what the fans think has just about sunk him. Hopefully, the FO will get their heads out of their asses, stop this s*** of keeping Ellsbury in Double A and move him up to Pawtucket lickety split and send the 100 hitting Ochoa out to steal hubcaps. Maybe by last June or July he will be playing well enough to be brought up to the Red Sox. I saw it with my own eyes. Crisp looks like he has forgotten how to it and he whole persona is one of resignation.
  3. This Durbin caper reminds me so much of last year's machinations when Theo was using the waiver wire high and low to try and get some pitching on the cheap. He ought to know there are no Papelbons on the waiver list and Durbin has been a proven failure as another pitcher with a good arm and no brains and unable to get batters out--you know, kind of like Snyder, Piniero and that group. Frankly, I think from what I saw in Boston the past week Donnelly, Timlin and Okajima could handle much of the relief work for us. I'm more worried about Varitek and Crisp with the bat that I am our pitching at this juncture.
  4. It is simple why you put Pineiro in if you are Francona. It is because he is a f***in' idiot.
  5. Riverside, maybe I'll run into you at one of the games. I'll be at the first four of the homestand.
  6. Damn you ksushi, why don't you post more????? I badly needed a positive shot in the arm and you came through and gave it to me. Thanks!!!! Tell, me, though, in the last line of your second paragraph, can you tell me when we are going to start ripping off that big winning streak? I'm flying to Boston tomorrow for the Seattle series and the first Angel game and it would be swell if we could start the streak tonight and carry if over the next week or so. Throw out some positive vibes so we can get off the floor and on to the business at hand of winning the AL East this season. Your post really made sense and the only thing I would find wrong with it was replacing Damon with Crisp. That looks like it is going to turn out to be one big penguin in the garden.
  7. Dana, don't even waste your time with that prick. He loves getting nasty and personal with others when in fact he is all mouth and most of the time he doesn't know what the hell he is talking about. You would be hard pressed to see that ******* at a Red Sox game all year. He loves to question everyone else's loyalty to the team and how he has rooted for the Red Sox for a quarter century but more and more of us are seeing what a ******** this guy is. Insults are part of his persona even though he is unaware that the biggest insult of all is when that fat tub of s*** looks in the mirror. I get your point my friend. Stick to your guns. Whether you are right or wrong you have a point of view and an opinion and should stay with it. That is what this board is for. He and his two compadres (and they know who they are) use personal attacks as they modus operandi. I'm with you all the way on this.
  8. And that should be the end of this discussion Schill. Your description as it relates to the Red Sox is right on the mark and all the other s*** is just splitting hairs. We are NOT a loaded team with Taverez as fifth starter, we are not a loaded team with a rapidly declining Varitek, a slumping Lowell, and a comotose CocoPops in our lineup, and if that isn't bad enough except for Ellsbury we have no one ready on the farm for a quick pick-me-upper. Five games? Yes, it is early but is how we have played. We look dead out there. I am flying to Boston tomorrow for the first four home games and I sure wouldn't think I was getting my money's worth if they play as they have their first five.
  9. I don't like to hear about tweaking an ankle. I've heard that song before and it usually means the guy is out for a week or two or more. Ankle injuries seem to linger on and on. I hope it was a very light light light tweak Youk suffered. Can Hinske play CF? I didn't think so. Crisp is beyond help. I think he is going to be a disaster for us this year.
  10. And Coco did get a hit today. Big freakin' deal. What did we get, three???? Is this the Red Sox? Aren't we supposed to be a hitting machine. I'm no Pena fan and you all know that, but why didn't we pinch hit him for Mirabelli when we had the chance? Doug is worthless at the plate. We can't put this on Wakefield. He did step up and pitched six good innings. He deserved to win this game.
  11. Schill, in reference to your second sentence, if you have a DVD of the Red Sox winning something, shove it in to your tv. It will make you feel better. Your third sentence? Priceless!!!!! Unfortunately, that exactly the way it is for me and I feel like crap right about now. I'm hoping the Dodgers can take care of the Giants tonight so I can have a little consolation from this day but I will still feel bummed out tomorrow morning. The Red Sox just wear you out, don't they?
  12. Ortiz and Ramirez are black---they could wear the uniform since they would have been barred along with Crisp if they were trying to break in before 1947. As an old Brooklyn Dodger fan I am very pissed off that Crisp has to be the one to wear Jackie's uniform. I was fortunate enough to watch Jackie play for many years and I can tell you that CocoPops wouldn't make a good scab on Jackie's ass. His wearing that number is a total disgrace.:dunno: :dunno: :dunno: :thumbdown :thumbdown :thumbdown
  13. That was a good retort to my post HeadNation, well written. I happen to live in the LA area and I follow the Dodgers in the NL and hope they do well this year, but I still hold to my belief that Nomar tanked on us. Before he was traded, when we thought he was ready to come back and play, he told club officials he needed to take more time off and yet when he got to Chicago and was asked how he felt he said "Fine Now." What kind of s*** was that? He got really miffed in the off season 2003-2004 when his was to be included in a trade as was Manny Ramirez. We were to get A-Rod and Ordonez in exchange for those two. As everyone knows the deals fell through. Well Manny, who everyone likes to criticize, went on to hit 308, lead the league with 43 homers, and drive in his usual 100+ runs and leading the Red Sox to the World Series Championship and Series MVP while Nomar sulked the whole time he was with us that year until we sent his ass out of town. Yes, I hope Nomar was well for the Dodgers and helps them win but he layed down on the job for the team I love like no other and I stay f*** him for doing it.
  14. If this young season gets away from us Theo is going to catch s*** by the boatload for not making that trade. It is now very evident that until David and Manny get hot and hopefully Drew keeps hitting for us, we are going to need some offense. Of course when Tim pitches were are weaker because Mirabelli has to catch and that means three or four outs in a row, not that Varitek has been a ball of fire for us of late. I just wonder if Theo lost his brain for a moment when he wouldn't include Delcarmen in that deal. As it is Manny is in the minors where he belongs and will most likely never be much of a pitcher for us since he has regressed badly. Think of what Helton could have meant to this lineup.
  15. BoNat, three games into the season and we are already at sword's point with the Yankee contingent. For me, though, I would just rather shitcan this discussion and concentrate on today's game vs Texas. We have Wakefield, horrible this Spring, going against a team he had a 7.59 ERA against last year. Talk about hoping to have your hitters ready. That's my focus right now. Dick K pitches Wednesday against Seattle and we can show the Yankee fans just how good he is when he goes out and wins again.
  16. You know yeszir, I really didn't expect all this handwringing from our Yankee friends on board. They are trying to put a happy face on a sour puce from the other end. The happy face belongs to us, not them. I get the feeling, too, that a few Dodger fans have entered this fray. Imagine Yankee and Dodger fans on the same side of an argument. Dice K looked damn good to me and we have to remember it was his first Big League game and he probably had a lot of butterflies and nervous energy, and I don't think our Yankee buddies brought that into the equation. I, for one, would like to put this to sleep and concentrate on today's game. Bad enough we have to throw Wakefield in Texas where he never has pitched worth a s*** even when he was having a good year. Now we have to see him throwing down there when he's coming off a crappy spring. I would like to see a very pleasant surprise today. How about you?
