  1. I'd at least give Lester the chance to show what he's got, and it could be a good measure of how close he is to coming up. Depending on how he does we could detremine whether to give him a year or call him up in September.
  2. If he weren't an arrogant prick, I'd feel a bit better towards him, but he just acts like the media and wlrd revolves around him. I mean he's a dick to even the nicest guys when he doesn't have to (Joe Buck). Like even though Mark McGuire took roids, I felt bad for him when he testified, just because of how highly I thought of him before that.
  3. This is a perfect example of how if you leave, elaving to a team otehr than te Yanks will let u keep ur cred. Damon, goes to Yanks, but applauses all his time in Boston and the fans. Pedro, leaves for the Mets but takes shots at us when he does so. We bo amon, and cheer pedro.
  4. I don't know, but lately our team, no matter what the personality, can get serious at any time needed and grit out wins in big games. I really like this year's dirt-dog, get down to business type peronality. I mean i said at the begining of the eya how we brought in a lot of Nixon/Schilling type players. Even Manny is serious, or at last for now. I mean this is a much better fundamental team that can win with the little things, whether it be good pitching, dazzling defense, or explosive offense from time to time. If we can get everyone hot at once, we will be utterly invinceable, and it's not inconceivable that this can't happen.I mean right now Lowell, Youk, Loretta, Papi, and Manny are all hittin the ball well, if they stay this way when Coco comes ack, we'll have a blanced lineup 1 through 9 and be even better. Only thing we really ened is Beckett and Schill to wake up, which Beckett did somewhat against the Yanks.
  5. Is it just me or have the Yankees seriouslyworn out curtain calls? I mean Giambi tips his cap afetr he ties the game with a 2 run HR in like the 4th inning, in no way does that deserve a curtain call.
  6. No lead is Johnson safe No grounder is ARod safe No popup is Melky safe
  7. Ahhh Melky, you are the man. One thing Id like to point out is DeMario at 3rd base is kickin ass, I haven't seen one bad call by him and he's made some gutsy calls that have turned otu great, like Ortiz tonight.
  8. Should be a good game tonite, i wore a beckett shirt for good luck, just in case. Also, look fr Papi to do something big tonite, he should sit dead red and look for the fastball all nite, cuz if he gets one even close to his kicthen, he'll hit the cover off it.
  9. I think LeBron shouldv'e gotten it, without him, the Cavs were horrible, and he single-handedly carried them through the 1st round. Kobe as stated earlier is not surrounded by crap, just he hogs the ball.
  10. Yeah, when I'm foolin around at my practices, I can never get it to not spin, I don't know I think my release is wrong. But that really is the ticket. If you can get a nasty knuckle you can pitch well into your 40's and beyond, and you don't have to pitch hard or have crazy stuff.
  11. Isn't it the wind direction that effects it? I never knew the temperature would effect it, because it always seems to be cold here and he can still make it dance.
  12. Can anyone get the rest of this article? I'd be inetrested in readig it.
  13. If it's true, we wuldn't ahve heard about the offer and he wouldv'e already signed. No one in their right minds would sit on that type of offer.
  14. Well, if she did get one its not obvious at all, cuz theyre not humuno, they're believable.
  15. Jarvis Herring: Strengths: Tough and physical...Excellent versus the run...Solid and reliable tackler...Versatile with experience at both corner and safety...Was very productive throughout his career...Special teams potential...Smart and a team leader with great intangibles. Weaknesses: Does not have very good speed...Struggles in coverage...Ball skills are below average...Lacks a burst to recover and close...Has some durability concerns...Ran into off-the-field trouble on multiple occasions and character is a major question. Freddie Roach: Strengths: Has good size and a solid frame...Big hitter who can lay the lumber...Has great instincts...A force against the run...Makes a lot of plays behind the line...Sheds blocks and works through traffic well...Is very strong...Versatile and has played both outside and middle linebacker...A hard worker and leader with premier intangibles...Has a ton of starting experience against top competition in the SEC. Weaknesses: Does not have the timed speed you look for...Struggles in coverage and his range is limited...Is not a great natural athlete...Has dealt with some injuries in the past and durability is a concern...Never put up eye-popping numbers statistically during his career...Probably has a limited pro upside due to his physical shortcomings. Pierre Woods: Strengths: Has great size and a tall, rangy frame with long arms...A tremendous natural athlete...Versatile with experience at multiple positions...An outstanding pass rusher off the edge...Has played a lot of Big Ten football...Still has some upside. Weaknesses: A DE / OLB 'tweener who might not have a true pro position...Needs to get stronger...Is not very instinctive, especially for a linebacker...An underachiever who doesn't play up to his measurables...Probably won't fit well in every scheme.
  16. QB Corey Bramlet (Wyoming) DB Keon Jackson (Toledo) S/LB Sam Smith (Delaware State) CB Vernell Brown (Florida) OT Randy Hand (Florida) S Jarvis Herring (Florida) DB Gemara Williams (Buffalo) WR Erik Davis (Vanderbilt) OG Brian Barthelmes (Virginia) LB Freddie Roach (Alabama) LB Corey Mays (Notre Dame) WR Matt Shelton (Notre Dame) LB Pierre Woods (Michigan)
  17. Which is exactly why you posted just the Sox n Yankees stats, btw who declared you stat man?
  18. Hmm, yea these are totally relevant, because ya kno, we're missing our leadoff hitter, weakening our offense, especially low in the order, Manny just realized the eason started, and our 5th starter is injured. And despite all that we're only one game back and were in possession of 1st place for most of the early season. Oh yeah, and we beat you 7-3.
  19. Not really, I mean if our bridge is soo terrible then how did that bridge transport Papelbon into 10 saves? More than double of Mo's?
  20. If I hadda choose between you 'n' SchillistheNatural for intellegence, I'd choose Schill anyday of the week. That goes the same for most otehr contests except for biggest *******, and most pompous prick on the board.
  21. i ont think its trye, doesnt seem to be a credible source
