  1. Two liners right at Pena and Beckett survives another inning.
  2. Dont worry about it. You got one out of me .
  3. RJ just notched strikeout #4,500.
  4. DJ puts the Yanks on top 2-0.
  5. Sojo was terrible. I remember last year against these Angels he sent Jeter home as the throw pretty much was in the catchers glove. Man he was brutal.
  6. I dont think Bowa even sent him. However Giambi should know he cant score on that. Use your noodle.
  7. What the f*** is Giambi doing?
  8. Your right, I remember how he would easily get that breaking ball over for a strike in that post season. He made Jeter look foolish in game 6 with that curve. But just looking at him now it looks like he has taken a step back. It really is strange to watch.
  9. For someone with great stuff Beckett cant throw his breaking ball for a strike if his life depended on it. If you cant throw your breaking ball for a strike hitters will sit on the heat. You might be able to get by with that in the NL but in the AL you wont survive long.
  10. Have you watched both pitchers? Verlander is in the race for the Cy Young. Beckett is in the race for most HR's given up this season.
  11. Mussina and Randy Johnson carved up the Tigers when they faced them in Detroit. Both took advantage of their aggressiveness and Mussina pitched a complete game (should have been a shutout but an A-Rod error prevented that). A veteran pitcher like Schilling will take note and eat them alive. Thats one of the reasons why I'm still not in love with the Tigers.
  12. "Pavano will have a backup in Phil Hughes who will likely serve as the 6th starter next yr when Pavano makes his trips to the DL for a hangnail and vaginitis." good job of breaking down the Yankee situation. I couldnt have said it any better.
  13. Verlander pitched on Friday against the White Sox. That would put him on pace to face David Wells on Wednesday. I dont know if they will skip Verlander again.
  14. I think I've stated many times how much I dislike Kay. So you will not hear any defense from me.
  15. Its one thing to not stop Manny Rameriez, David Ortiz or Miguel Tejada. Its another thing to not be able to stop Chone Figgins.
  16. The only good news of the day so far: Hughes: 5IP 2-H 0-ER 2-BB 9-K 0-HR
  17. Jesus Christ that strike 3 to A-Rod was about 2 feet outside. God that was terrible.
  18. I believe it will be on YES. So I will be watching it on TV.
  19. I had it on gameday and I was wondering why it froze. I guess thats why.
  20. Thats more like it Wang.
  21. In game 5 of the ALDS last season they had their "ACE" #1 and Cy Young award winner go down with injury and they replaced him with a rookie and THEY STILL WON. I just dont get it anymore.
  22. As I was posting that the first thing that came to mind was the Blue Jays against you guys. However the Angels have played us well for around 10 years now including knocking us out of the playoffs twice (They werent better then us last year and they still beat us). It just makes no sense.
  23. I dont understand the Angels dominance against us. It really makes no sense anymore. Figgins becomes Lou Brock against us, Adam Kennedy becomes Rod Carew and Orlando Cabrera becomes Ernie Banks.
