    That's not disrespectful. That's called accountability. If someone is getting paid a lot of money to accomplish something and they don't, year in and year out, scrutiny and questions about job security are the very least they should expect to receive.

    I still don't understand how anyone can think Joe Torre was disrespected. He was offered a contract that would (continue) to make him the highest paid manager in baseball. This after being handed some of the best players in the game and still finding a way to fail for 6 years, including the largest and most pathetic collapse in the history of baseball. He was an employee of the Yankees who failed miserably at his job, for some reason still received a great offer from them, threw a hissy and ran to the West Coast. Disrespect is betraying your players and a club which gave you so many opportunities.

    Apparently Joe Torre is writing a "tell all" book about his years with the Yankees. Its title, as you may have guessed, is The Yankee Years. Link Classy.
