  1. Posada bumped into the guy....with so much force that the Blue Jay pitcher wasn't even moved. Youk throwing his helmet at a pitcher was just as bad, if not worst. They're both wrong and both took dumb risks that could hurt their team.
  2. Wow, exciting....but no need for that. Jeter, CC, Joba, Damon, Tex...all those guys were in the middle of this and could have been hurt. Absolutely no need to risk all those guys for a ball behind your back, Posada. Take it out on the water cooler, not on the field.
  3. Good to see some early runs against Halladay.
  4. Yankees take the lead on the botched throw to third. Good to see Gardner back, forcing plays like that once again. 4 - 3 Yanks.
  5. ALDS BOS:3 LAA: 2 NYY:3 DET:0 NLDS STL: 3 COL: 2 LAD: 1 PHI: 3 ALCS NYY: 4 BOS: 2 NLCS STL: 4 PHI: 1 WS NYY: 4 STL: 3
  6. Yankees take a 5 -3 lead on the hit from Matsui The Girardi ejection was crazy! I wondered what happened or was said to make it so intense.
  7. Sundays are not good days for the Yankees.
  8. SEEEEEEE YA LOU GEHRIG! Just kidding...but that would have actually been kind of funny. Here's the actual clip: http://newyork.yankees.mlb.com/media/video.jsp?topic_id=nyy&c_id=nyy&content_id=6587113
  9. And he does it! Jeter now in sole possession of the franchise hit record!
  10. Jeter being one of the best Yankees of all time isn't an argument or an opinion, it's a fact. He's going to end his career with well more than 3000 hits, 4+ world series rings, a boatload of big hits and moments. By the time he's done he's going to lead the franchise in hits, stolen bases, games played. He's going to be in the top 5 when it comes to runs, doubles, total bases, batting average. And in the top 10 in HRs and RBIs (from a guy who's been a leadoff hitter for much of his career.) Not to mention the leadership he's offered as captain or how he's been the face of the decade for over a decade. I dont know if it's just sour grapes or something, but it's almost nonsensical to say Jeter isn't one of the top 10 players to ever wear the pinstripes.
  11. Great game. About sums it up. The Stadium went crazy for Jeter tying the hit record...I wonder what will happen when he breaks it?
  12. Posada with the pinch hit HR that puts the Yankees on top!
  13. The Devil Rays are back.
  14. 0 for 1001
  15. Jeter 0 for 1000 since he got close to the hit record.
  16. With Pena being done for the year, Tex must really be gunning to be the league leader in HR. Second of the game makes it 9 - 1.
  17. Jerry Hairston has been working on his Cody Ransom impersonation. It really shows.
  18. ...last I checked.:dunno: 1, 2, 3 inning from Bruney? What?
  19. Yankees blow open the game again. I love Baltimore. 10 - 2 Yankees. And Evan Longoria is my favorite player ever.
  20. Damn you Jerry Hairston.
  21. If only they could have done that last night!
  22. Does Cano think the season is over or something? He's making mistakes that are hurting the team in big spots. He really needs to focus and not sour what has been a strong season for him in the last month.
