    Losing JD definitely hurts. He was swinging the bat good lately. But on the flip side we will have the best possible defense alignment which will help as the defense has cost a lot of problems this year. Kike needs to be at center 100 percent.

    Ohtani is winning MVP. As much as Vladdy had a great season you could argue he wasn't the best player on that team. His teammate semien had a better WAR than he did. Ohtani almost had the same production at the plate than Vladdy and Semien and added 150IP of great pitching. No way he doesn't win this hands down

    You think he will avg a WAR of over 4 in the next decade? I was generous and provided the ESPN one. Fangraphs has him at 3.7 this past year. I'm sorry but if you want a massive Contract at minimum you'd have to produce 5 plus WAR a year. He's not going to come close to that. His body won't let him. A lot of his production is due to his quickness/speed. His Legs generate his excellent defense and his baserunning. Any speed player that has ever played the game drop off significantly once they hit 30. We are already seeing the impact of that this year. 10 SB and caught 5 times.

    First full season in the books. 4.2 WAR. He's already lost a step. 10 SB, caught 5 times. These are suppose to his prime years. If he can't do much better than this next year the Sox definitely made the right move. Already having hip and back problems. Renfroe produced a 2.5 WAR for practically nothing in terms of salary. He's turning 30 next year. I've been saying all along that the legs are the first to go and it looks like it's already starting. A lot of his game was based on his legs. This contract won't age well
