    12 years 360? Lol. Jesus, he's not getting Betts type money. The Sox are already looking like a genius for letting Betts go except its too bad they didn't get a better return. At least Betts had a MVP to his name and a great WAR Machado and Harper at the time of their deals were ahead of Devers. Machado was a top 5 MVP candidate a few times and Harper was an MVP. Machado is also a better defender. 250Mil Max unless he does something spectacular this year or next year. Devers hasn't even been the best player on his own team.

    We wouldn't be in this situation if the Sox didn't sign Story. Bogey has always said he wanted to be a Red Sox for life. Even opting out doesn't mean he doesn't want to. They could restructured his deal. But no, they go ahead and sign Story. What does that tell Bogey? That they have no interest to really extend him which is a shame. Bogey has been underpaid really with his performance based on other SS in the game.

    People, please stop bashing JBJ. He's hitting the ball very well according to advance analytics. He's a much better play than what his stat line says!

    How can you say JBJ is not part of the problem? He's been a minus player since last year. He's a big part of the problem. Catching balls is not going to score you runs. You need both. It doesn't matter how well he's hitting the ball. At the end of the day he's not getting on base and doing s*** since last year. Let's look at ichiro Suzuki. This guy most of his hits were single and they weren't pretty but at the end of the day he got on base any way he could whether it was bloop hits or weak soft grounders. JBJ can hit the ball as hard as he want. At the end of the day if those balls don't fall for hits it don't mean s***.

    The Toronto Blue Jays have won 8 one run games so far this year. How do you thing they are doing that? It's certainly not their offense as it's no where near close to last year. They have a solid closer and they close out close games. Something the Sox haven't done a lot

    I have to go back on this post. You do realize Renfroe has had seasons like he did last year before right? Who's to say he won't repeat it? He's had prior seasons of 33HR, 26, 26 and last year 31. His career OPS is close to 800. He's no slouch with the bat

    The league batting avg is 233. A lot of this has to do with these shift. If they don't ban it it will just keep getting worse and worse. Players are too focused to hitting HR so they won't bunt to get on base.

    You really think playing Story at SS is going to fix the problem? If Story can't hit because he's playing second base then he needs to forfeit his contract and gtfo of Boston.

    100 percent. At least a 2-3 game swing. They have lost a lot games in the later innings without him available
