He deserves this contract that's for sure. 2 World Series Championships in the last 4 years. -
If and only IF he went to New York I really don't think it would be to the Yankees. It would be more with the Mets than anything. And can you honestly tell me you think that the Red Sox are going to give up a guy like this they are going to do everything in their power to sign him again and they still have that 2009 option on him which they will pick up. He's going to retire with the Red Sox and will go down as one of the greatest players the Red Sox organization has ever seen. He may have a crappy attitude half the time but his numbers speak for themselves.

This is a big blow to the Sox but I think it gives Bucholz a good chance to step up and become a good pitcher for the Sox this year. Or maybe it's a chance for the Sox to go out and sign another pitcher or maybe use Crisp as trade bait to pick someone up. -

Ok can someone help me on this one. I noticed that after the March 25th series against Oakland the Sox are playing the Dodgers in Los Angeles so I know that the Japan games are the opening series or whatever but are they going to count towards the regular season schedule or are they just goign to be considered Spring Training like games.?

Couldn't agree with you more. I kinda saw this one coming as soon as they said that the Mets were also interested. But like it was said before he's going to the N.L not the Yankees and that's all that matters.

Wow Angelos is ridiculous who cares if the M's went public with it. It was going to happen anyways now the guy is saying he's putting it on hold because he prefers to sign Bedard then WHY THE HELL didn't he sign him in the first place why would you make a trade then back out. If he keeps this up all I have to say is good luck finding a team who is actually willing to deal with you.

Wow super early game. Gonna have to go to bed a little earlier in order to watch these ones. Gonna renew my mlb.tv package this year again so I can watch all the games.

Dunno about this one. While he is a good pickup to have for when Wakefield pitches cause of that knuckleball. But offensively how good of a move was this he didn't put up the best numbers last year, and we prolly could have picked up a better catcher in a trade but I guess time will tell.

Alot of money but a big pickup for the Dodgers didn't expect to see Andreuw go West though I can tell you that much. I was expecting Cleveland or something.

Wow Tigers made a huge trade but I dunno about Willis i don't think he's going to be that great in the A.L Central he struggled in the N.L East last couple seasons and the A.L Central is alot tougher.

Pitching over hitting anyday one bat doesn't decide a game as much as a pitcher does simple as that.

Sox deff need to resign this guy he's the Captain of the team for a reason his presence in the lineup is something that is very very valuable and he really knows how to work with his pitchers. I mean don't get me wrong the pitchers themselves are the ones who throw the stuff but without a great catcher who can call a great game behind the plate they wouldn't be as good.

All I know is that I hate waiting to see if the Sox are going to get this guy or not I wish they would just get the thing done if they are going to. I can't stand waiting around to see what's going to happen.
