  1. Hinske wasn't a surprise because the Jays have been wanting to shop him for awhile now. I live in Toronto and every single time there is a trade rumour Hinske ends up being involved in it somehow. As for Wells the only way I can see him leaving Toronto is if they get an offer that is going to get them everything they need or at the end of his contract. Where I'm betting he'll end up in Texas where he's close to home like he said he'd like to play closer to home.
  2. I didn't even know the Sox were shopping Loretta. If they do does that mean that Pedroia will be the new 2nd basemen for the Sox for the rest of the season. And yes the Sox should trade Wells just to get rid of him to any team that can give us something decent in return for him. It doesn't have to be a contender they just have to be a team who has something to offer the Sox in return.
  3. Another tough loss to swallow against the Mariners. One thing I'm really not understanding is the whole Eric Hinske trade. They brought the guy over and he had 3 doubles in his first game but since then he hasn't done a whole lot and he goes 0-4 again tonight. I see him either ending up in the minors next year or being released by the Sox. I don't think anyone else will want to pick him up he's definitley not the player he was in his Rookie of the year season.
  4. If we don't see the Sox go anywhere this year. I'd like to see the Tigers just because of what they have been able to do the last couple of years. Going from the worst team in the league with 119 losses to the best team in the league with 81 wins. A really nice turnaround and it would be a great accomplishment for that team if they went all the way.
  5. Well seeing as how Varitek is on the DL and will be for awhile soon it's been some sad weeks for me not seeing V-Tek playing everyday. I'd like to see the Sox play Corky Miller. Can't be any worse than Javy Lopez has been doing since he's joined the Sox.
  6. I say that the Sox should keep Papelbon as the closer for now. He's too good to move into the rotation.I don't see anyone who the Sox have that can close games out like he can.
  7. By the looks of things right now Liriano is going to win the CY Young the guy has just been stellar all season long. If he continues it he's going to walk away with the Cy.
  8. Hey guys well I haven't posted in awhile. My Internet was out of commision for a few months but I'm back now. MVP- Big Pappi CY Young- Lil Pappi (Papelbon) Comeback Pitcher-Beckett Comeback Player- Lowell Best Glove- Crisp Best Catch- Crisp Biggest Dissapointment of a Pitcher- Wells Biggest Dissapointment of a Position Player- Harris
  9. Lowell will be the number 2 vote for 3rd for sure.
  10. It's nothing serious I think he'll be back right away.
  11. Already hyper up to watch this one just like I am with any Red Sox/Yankees game. Going to be a good one to watch. Schilling on the mound and he usually pitches well against the Yankees so let's hope he continues to do so tonight. Only 2 hours left until this one starts and I can't wait.
  12. So apparently the Dolphins just want more problems on their team cause that's all the Vick will bring to them. And I can't really understand this either they have Cullpepper already. I guess Vick is gonna be a backup then. Anyone wanna wager on how long it is before he's suspended for something stupid too?.
  13. Roger Clemens the guy is over 40 and he's still pitching amazing and winning another Cy Young. How many guys do that when they are 40 +.
  14. He's still a good pitcher but he's not vintage Pedro anymore. He was much better when he was with the Sox. He may be 5-0 this year but he hasn't one a start in what his last three starts or something. I'm not saying that he isn't good he just isn't the Pedro of the Red Sox days.
  15. I'd say he's underated he's won 3 World Series and he still doesn't get much credit. He's the best setup man in the league. He can go out there and get the job done when he needs to. Yeah he falters sometimes but what pitcher doesn't honestly.
  16. When it comes to the number 5 guys Lester is a possibility but they can't rush him into starting. I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see the Sox go out and try and make a deal for a number 5 guy. There's no way the Sox will convert Papelbon into a starter with the way he has been closing games he's been too lights out and Foulke may be better than he was but he still isn't closer ready. I can't see Papelbon starting this year. If he was to start it would most likely be next year.
  17. A nice win to have. Clement was good and so was the rest of the team the bats were alive and Papelbon continued to dominate. I'll be surprised if he's not in the All Star game this year.
  18. I say he will finish off with 50 homeruns this year.
  19. Tonight was one of the most intense games I have seen in awhile. Schilling just can't seem to keep away from giving up the long ball but the bats just keep on bailing him outta trouble. Dissapointing to see Varitek go 0-4 tonight after he reached base in every at bat last night and had a HR. Papelbon continues to show that he is by far the most underated pitching in the league. He's been lights out all year and isn't getting the credit he really deserves. As for the Rangers/Yankees game that was just awful how do u blow a 9-0 lead and then a 10-2 lead and loose 14-12. Texas needs to trade the entire pitching staff they were just horrible tonight. Haven't seen a worse preformance in awhile.
  20. Well so much for his power outage with the huge HR tonight.
  21. Honestly when are we actually going to see a Red Sox game again. I think that mother nature is a Yankees fan.
  22. Just because he's hurt right now doesn't mean he's always going to be hurt. He will come back strong.
  23. Not really because the Sox don't know what a guy is going to do and it's still early Renteria could turn out to do nothing for Atlanta then again none really is for that team there like what a game ahead of Florida if they are lucky. Honestly Renteria was good for us but apparently not good enough and I think he couldn't take being in the spotlight just like alot of players can't handle it. I think this guy needs to be into a small market team before he will put up any really good numbers.
  24. Tough one to swallow. Then again any loss to the Yankees is a tough one to take. I think it's because I dislike the Yankees so much. Typical Ortiz is still slugging out HR like crazy but that's just Big papi. Can't wait until tmrw's game Sportsnet up here is actually showing this one so I get to watch it on tv for once instead of my computer which will be nice. Got the Knuckleballer on the mound hope he can bounce back and return to last year's form.
  25. I didn't get too see this one and oh man do I wish I could have. Nice to see the Sox rout the Yankees. From the highlights I've seen it looked like Beckett pitched a great game. And GONZO finally got a HR. Now they need to go out and take another one tmrw.
