  1. What a start for Clay.
  2. Buchholz looks dirty so far. Pin point control
  3. My bold prediction of the season: Buchholz will pitch like the first half of 2013 for 32 starts this season and win the AL cy young. Anybody else want a hit off the crack pipe?
  4. Baseball, woooo. First opening day game that I will be able to watch live since 2011. f*** DA REAL WORLD, YALL KNOW WHAT IM SAYING
  5. I really liked watching this guy last season. Has a good arm (hitting 97 a few times on the gun) and has pretty good movement on his fastball. He is only 26 years old and could be coming into his own. Is it crazy to believe that Kelly could have a break out year pitching 200 innings, wining 15 games and having an ERA between 3.50-3.75? How do you guys feel about Joe Kelly's future?
  6. The offseason is not over. If we can trade for an ace this will be a good rotation, especially if Clay Buchholz can rebound (big time if). I like Masterson to rebound if healthy. Miley and Porcello are solid and should be 13-15 win guys with sub 4 ERA's with this offense.
  7. So if we make this deal our rotation is shaping out to be Cueto/Hamels/Price/Shields Clay Buchholz Wide Miley Justin Masterson Joe Kelley Clay Buchholz is the key, if he can become his 2013 self, we have a chance to be okay. Let's see how it shakes out though.
  8. Lets get Hammels, Cueto and Masterson and call it an offseason, anyone?
  9. I believe that when Ortiz retires (maybe say 2016), They probably will move Panda to first base, Hanley to DH and can shift Xander to 3B. Just a hunch.
  10. What is everyone's ideal lineup? (I am going to assume Cespedes gets traded for an arm) A little right handed heavy, but potentially very devastating to opposing pitchers. Mookie Betts (RF/CF) R Dustin Pedroia (2B)-R Pablo Sandoval(3B)-S David Ortiz (DH)-L Hanley Ramirez (LF)-R Mike Napoli (1B)-R Xander Bogaerts (SS)-R Christian Vasquez ©-R Rusney Castillo/Shane Victorino (CF/RF)-R/S
  11. Red Sox need to get Jon Lester on the phone now and get that deal done.
  12. What stats prove this?
  13. IMO, Hanley was signed to play outfield. There is no way they will want him playing short stop.
  14. I like both of these signings. 5 Years in length will not make either of these contracts become albatross contracts. Hanley will have played out his age 35 season at the end, and Sandoval will have played out his age 32 season. It's not like either of these guys will be approaching 40 at the end. Offense is at a premium right now in the MLB, and the Red Sox just made significant improvements, and also protected themselves for when Papi retires.
  15. Webster is never going to be a good major league pitcher. He just has that look in his eyes like he is scared to through strikes.
  16. XB is gonna be a super star.
  17. New Jersey's look awesome. Almost exactly like the old road uniforms we had from 1990-2008, except for the hanging sox (which actually looks decent when it isn't the only red in the entire Jersey).
  18. Honestly, if that game was played in the July the Red Sox would have probably scored 10 runs. They had four balls that really could have been homeruns, and there were lots of base-runners on as well in those situations. Just one of those games. Lester looked good especially after the 3rd inning.
  19. Yup, I was wrong.
  20. Youk of the Nation carry over mojo for opening day??
