    I think not looking at game 7 at this point is short sighted. Peavy in game 7 is a nightmare.

    That's what I was thinking. I don't think there is a thing as being short sighted when you are down 2-1 in a best of 7. You roll out Lester and he wins tonight, even if you loose game 5 you still have Lackey on full rest in game 6 and Lester back on short rest on game 7. At this point I would bet my marbles that Lester on short rest > than Peavy on regular rest. Of course Lester on short rest is unkown, but he is a beast and a horse. I think he would do okay.

    Well, at least with Lester gives us a solid chance at a 2-2 series, now with the way this is going we probably are looking at down 3-1. We will see, it wouldn't have been a dumb idea.

    We are down 2-1, quite possibly 3-1 in the world series (if Buch implodes). There really isn't too much time to think ahead.

    What are you talking about? Buchholz when right throws 93-95, not 86-88.

    I would pitch Lester on three days rest, so he could potentially come back for a game 7. I would go Lester, Buchholz, Lackey, Lester for the rest of the series. The way this is currently set up we would be pitching Peavy in a potential game 7. Scary. Hopefully we can win tonight, and Lester and Lackey can close it out.

    Salty is the worst defensive catcher. I remember watching a game in the midst of the 2011 collapse at Fenway and Salty let 4 passedballs go, and made 2 throwing errorrs. I put alot of the blame of the collapse on him in my mind. It seemed like he turned a corner this year, but "bad" salty certainly has returned.
