  1. I would actually consider Hansen and Willy Mo, for Lidge. I would probabaly do it if it were up to me. Lidge did have a bad year last year, but he stills throws hard and still struck out a tun of guys last year. I actually agree with Adam, a change of scenery probably would be good for him.
  2. http://www.boston.com/sports/baseball/articles/2007/03/18/talented_trio_on_center_stage/ I wouldn't mind seeing this at all. The only question I would have then is where would Jacoby play, maybe left field?
  3. I love Mock threads.
  4. I really worried about Papi, he looks like he only has warning track power. This is immensely bad for the sox. (Sarcasm)
  5. Wow, it's spring training, chill out dude.
  6. http://texas.rangers.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20070315&content_id=1844641&vkey=spt2007news&fext=.jsp&c_id=tex He is batting 450 this spring with 3 Jacks and 7 runs batted in.
  7. I heard he it hit 93 MPH on tuesday.
  8. Pinerio Prediction: 3.23 ERA 30-39 saves, 55 K's in 70 innings 235. Ba against. about 100 heart attacks for sox fans, but in the end does a very solid job for us this year.
  9. I would put Ortiz and Manny ahead of Bonds and Kent IMO, I think if they stay together for 2-3 more years, then they could be 2-3 on this list.
  10. Yay for Lost!
  11. With 5 straight scoreless innings, Pinero seems to be the outright leader this point to be the closer. If he can pitch like he did today and on sunday, then I think he will be O.K. He did hold batters to a .213 avg out of the pen last season.
  12. This is where you want to insert the sarcasm brackets.
  13. I was watching the telecast tonight, and apparently Tito said it jokingly. I think its going to be Pinero, he is pitching better with 4 scoreless innings and hitting 91-92 mph consitantly.
  14. I agree with this post, however; if we did get him it would be a even toss up between him our Joel Pinero for our closer right now. That speaks volumes of the state of our closing situation right now.
  15. In other news, Joel Pinero didn't suck in his two innings of work today. He gave up two hits and no runs and struck out 1. He was hitting between 91-92 during his entire outing. I was actually impressed with his stuff today.
  16. DiceK was nasty in the first, but really struggled with his command after that. This is just spring training so it doesnt matter what so ever. I also don't think he is dialing it up the way he can. I am not worried what so ever. The first inning change up to Gibbons reminded me so much of Pedros changeup.
  17. Any info on why he was taken off?
  18. Beckett had a pretty tough line today, did anybody see the game, was he horrible?
