  1. Then you can probably find cheap tickets for the game.
  2. Not a bad day for DiceK, he didn't have his best location. Zero hits.
  3. Because pedroia is 23 and Lorreta is 35? Thats really the only reason I can think of. I still think he will hit around 270. which will be fine.
  4. I'm a senior and it really doesn't matter anymore, so i'll be home watching the games when they start.
  5. Are you talking about home opening day, or opening day in K.C.?
  6. Yeah, you can always buy tickets on stub hub or ebay if you want to pay through the roof.
  7. I saw a really interesting stat today. Beckett last year had 14 starts where he let up 2 runs or less, but he had 10 starts where he let up 5 runs or more. If he can control the bleeding a bit more this year he will be fine. All he has to do is cut down on his walks and HRs. He did do a better job of that in the second half last year, only 10 homeruns allowed.
  8. Beckett looked outstanding today. I really hope he carries this into the regular season. His 2 seamed fast ball looked very sharp today, and really made lefties look foolish. Also his breaking ball looked crisp.
  9. Wake, Nixon, Varitek, Schilling? Your team had an allstar at every position to make up for it.
  10. I wish.
  11. I think Lester is the wild card in this whole thing. If he pitches like he did in June and July last year, I think the Rotation will be ok. Clemens is another huge wildcard, also I heard Clement might be back around July, which doesn't give me any confidence but hey it's an another arm.
  12. Bill James predicts 284. 10 hrs 72 RBIs and 47 doubles. I would do back flips if he got anywhere near that.
  13. I disagree that Zito would be bad at Fenway, if you look at Zito's numbers at home last year he had an Era over 4.75 I think, and he had a an ERA under 3.00 on the road. David Wells is a similar pitcher to Zito, and in 2005 he was like 10-2 at fenway with a 3.20 ERA. I do think that DiceK is a better acqusition than Zito, but I think it is ridiculous to think he would fail at Fenway park.
  14. It is so insightful. I haven't become a member yet, I am satisfied just reading what he has to say. It's incredible how detailed his writing is.
  15. Where is Jacko when you need him!
  16. ORS, how do you get to 2006 gameday for this game? Edit-My bad, I didn't read the other page
  17. This almost guarentees Hughes will be in the rotation by opening day, does it not?
  18. The Yankees rotation is incredibly fragile.
  19. This was just a general question, obviously this isn't going to happen.
  20. http://www.38pitches.com Very interesting; breaks down his performace inning by inning, and talks about the certain battles he has with himself during the game. He has said he is going to break down his performance after every start this season.
  21. I just read an article that said Andy Pettitte is trying to convince the Yankees to let him play soft toss. Wang also suffered an apparent hamstring injury which Joe Torre called cramps.
