  1. USC wins. Dang.
  2. Sorry. But I'll send a fruit basket if it's any consolation.
  3. Ouch. Even the games that Pennington does play, he's in pain.
  4. Aww well that's not such a bad thing. :dunno: I can't think of the specific school, but some mascots are really annoying heckling the opposing team, its fans, even its mascots. It's not surprising thus when an ass-kicking ensues. People have to get paid.
  5. Isn't purgatory eternal? Or close to it. Gee-I'm-Big, Sheffiods and Rodriguez (heh) never get old, Randy Randy, etc. Day's work is never done.
  6. Well it WAS (is, I guess, still standing) Coors...not exactly the best place to gauge stats either way. Take a number, Mr. Chacon...the allegation line is kinda long right now.
  7. Gotcha. Heh, the "We Miss You, Randy" gift basket it getting kinda full...
  8. Aren't you a Bears fan? Or something?
  9. Mischa Barton if I'm not mistaken? LOL...
  10. Heh, well we hi-jacked your board.
  11. "Thanks for the memories"...ha.
  12. Which is why he'll be around, even if the 'Horns choke to Chokelahoma over and over (something that would never happen in NE - simply unacceptable). Heard something about rumblings in the USC backfield...some players are grumbling about not enough playing time. Ya think?
  13. No lead is really that big in college football. And I can sort of see case for this, because in the twisted BCS system, big “blow-out” wins factor into voters’ (and computers’?) minds…however, I think it’s a bit ridiculous when say, Jason “Bad Knees” White goes for a quarterback sneak in the forth quarter, when they were leading by, 40-3 last year or something like that. (Yeah, it was against Nebraska, in Norman, must they rub it in?!) Puh-leez. It’s their prerogative to that, I suppose. No complaining when asses are to handed by a “good” opponent, though.
  14. Yeah. Ok. So my line can’t block…they can’t even line up properly…and the final two minutes of the game… I don’t really “hate” Texas – maybe their baseball program because they’re so darn good, but that’s more of a compliment even, than an insult. Young has fantastic potential; however, it just had to be said that last year, save for the bowl game against Michigan, he was still very much a work in progress. And while Mack Brown has been impressive against non-conference opponents (own Big Ten, Eleven, I guess), the math doesn’t add up that he’s never won a conference title. He’s great at bringing in booster revenue. But never beating Oklahoma in what, five tries? So this is his best, BEST shot…heck, I’ll take them over the Sooners and Stoop[-ed]!
  15. Against Rice. SO IMPRESSIVE! Big 12 teams love to run up the score. I guess the OK QB situation isn't going to be solved this year...looooong year it's going to be.
  16. Ouch. Embree's ERA is a smidge over seven.
  17. Hey.
  18. Personally I'm picking Carpenter to win the NL Cy Young, but I think Clemens already won one for his mother. And if he sucks for the rest of the season (sucks being an ERA a smidge over two-something?), it wouldn't because the death of his mother.
  19. Would one have to be pretty good in order for the rules to be changed? Not to mention Gibson was fantastic, including in '64 when he and the Cards beat the Yankees. This doesn't address the numbers and statistics you stated, but that's not really my thing. Overrated is a subjective standard, but considering that his childhood was filled with health problems, it's all the more amazing.
  20. I live closer to Chicago. Oh goodness. Maybe Midwestern people will be more mild about it...maybe not. There's nothing exciting that happened between that, and the Tea Party? Hmm.
  21. Look at the 542 books that came out, all the cotton wasted on t-shirts (kidding), etc. etc. etc. OVERKILL.
  22. You wish, Big Ten "bottomfeeders" are probably heckuva lot more formidable than some Big 12 teams (catch OU in a "bad" day, ha). Texas could win it with a TD, provided their defense holds. Edit: Tie game, 22-22, reviewing Young's TD pass (it's fine), how much replay do they need...as much to get it right, but sometimes they don't. Edit #2: PAT went through. Edit #3: And OSU turnover...two Big Ten powers go down on the same day.
  23. Evil Empire Jr. '04 Red Sox had the highest payroll to WIN (operative word: win) the WS.
  24. Heh, I think Michigan ppl would like to have their rivals beat by Texas too (not by the same margin, presumably), hurts. Mizzou isn't Big Ten. They belong to the crap that is the Big 12 North. Heh. But, with the exception of Colorado, we suck fair and square.
