    You got it backwards. Both teams showed up too much. Seattles defense was too good for Pittsburgh to move the ball, and Pittsburgh's defense was too good to let Seattle score. The problem wasn't a lack of effort ... it was total effort by two evenly matched teams.

    I think the right move is to keep Dustin at 2B. While we have Loretta this year, he's certainly getting older and so is Tony G. We only signed Gonzalez for one year but I assume we're hoping he pans out, which would leave Dustin with no spot next year. If we allow Dustin to develop at 2B then we can posible look to move Loretta in the offseason keeping Pedroria and Gonzo up the middle which improves our over all youth much more than letting gonzo walk and plugging Dustin in at SS.

    OK simple question. A few weeks ago there was similar talk throughout the media of the NFL officials possibly trying to "screw" the Steelers when they played the Colts. Why would the NFL risk trying to fix another game so soon to that one, and why would they try to do it for a team they tried to screw a few weeks ago?

    I bought MVP: NCAA Baseball last week. I wont buy an MLB game as long as EA isn't making one. They're the only company that does the game justice.

    It's not even that. Atleast, most of the time, the other Yankee fans reference stats, and have valid arguments. BTW a "Yankee fan" in my book is exactly what that douche bag is. I consider any Yankee fan, who isn't a complete homer and a complete dumbass, an exception.

    OK well I guess thats understandable. But Rivernator how did you come up with your predictions in 6 minutes?

    How could either of you have come up with predictions in under 15 mins? Obviously both of you are completely talking out of your asses, and apparently SoxFan#1 doesn't understand the playoff system.

    Why would you want to let Trot walk away and get nothing in return? It's not like he's going to retire if we don't resign him. He will be wearing a different uniform next year anyway, so why not get what we can for him if it's a good deal? Bad decisions are made because of emotion, and your statement shows plenty of emotion. If you want to be successful you make decisions with your mind not your heart.

    Just so we're clear Jamaal Lewis sucking this year had nothing to do with his injury and everything to do with the fact that he can't do coke anymore.

    He may have earned the right to stay here but the BoSox just cannot continue to go into every season with a question mark in RF. And remember as Trot ages he's only going to be more and more injury prone. If we don't trade him before his contract is up I think you let him walk as long as there is atleast a comprable RF on the market.

    As much as I love Trot and as much as he symbolises what a dirt dog is, I'd have to trade him if I could get a better/younger/healthier RFer. If Trot was able to have a healthy season I'd have no problem keeping him out there in RF, but every year he remains out there is a year we have a chance to have to play without a RFer. If Theo decides he can make a move that makes this team better, even if it means getting rid of Trot, I'm fine with it.
