Do you guys think that it's at all possible that the Sox passed on Kazmir simply because if they claimed him, they figured the Rays would pull him back since they didn't want him staying in the division? The Sox figured the Rays wouldn't let them have him so might as well have him leave the division.

WEEI reporting that Joey Gathright and Brian Anderson have been called up. George Kottaras is expected to be called up as he comes off the disabled list as is Junichi Tazawa as the GCL season has ended. Post any other expanded roster call-ups here.

The player(s) available dictate how much the Sox spend, not necessarily a set budget they set for themselves. -

The new road jerseys grew on me pretty quick actually. Especially when they went with the red undershirts. I can go without the hanging Sox cap though, it just looks goofy.

Pitchers usually make the most awful decisions as far as which base to throw to. This was another case of that. -
Teams with a rich history typically don't change logos, nor should they. There would probably be an uprising among the fanbase if the Sox radically changed their logo.

Right now, it's probably Buchholz. The only way I see that changing is if Dice-K comes back strong.

No, but I didn't think Buchholz being able to give the Sox a chance to win was out of the realm of possibility at all, especially since we lit up Romero the last time we saw him

Yea but the Sox are in a position where they oughta be desperate for starting pitching if they're serious about a shot at the WS and Harden can be dominant

It really varies but even if there's pretty much a guaranteed rainout, they'll open the gates on time at 5pm to get people to buy concessions.
