  1. according to WEEI, Boras is going to ask for something in the neighborhood of 5 years, $85 mil for Manny im surprised he's actually looking for less than the salary he made here
  2. ill say.... Dice-K vs. Shields Beckett vs. Kazmir Lester vs. Garza 4th vs. Sonnanstine Dice-K vs. Shields Beckett vs. Kazmir Lester vs. Garza
  3. my bad, I meant to say he's 3-0 in playoff games he starts. His official record is 2-0
  4. What exactly does it change whether its called a hit or an error? 3 runs is 3 runs It shocks me that a professional athlete talks like a f***ing little leaguer. But what do you expect from a guy who hangs his defense out to dry with his reactions after every hit? What a fat, ugly dumbass John Lackey is
  5. for what it's worth, Lester has allowed 0 ERs and 1 R total in his last 22 2/3 IP in the postseason think about that for a second... he now has a career playoff record of 3-0 with a 0.77 ERA THE GUY IS OFF THE f***ING CHARTS
  6. seriously, no Bailey? I get the pinch-running option of Velazquez maybe but cmon...
  7. hell of an inning for Kotsay
  8. http://media.ebaumsworld.com/picture/thelandosays/061017_dennis_green.jpg Papi let 'em off the hook
  9. LITTLE PONY BREAKS OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. you cant say enough about that at-bat. down 0-2, partially from a makeup call, fights back to a full count and drills one to right field
  11. I wonder if he had to cut that bill in half to give to his ex-wife
  12. would Beckett really have made it though 106 pitches without showing any sign of pain if his oblique really was bugging him?
  13. Beckett had a 5.65 ERA at home this year and had a 7.43 ERA in two starts vs. Anaheim. Why is there a need to find a reason for his disappointing outing last night beyond the fact that it's pretty consistent with what he's been this year? I understand the lore of "playoff Josh Beckett" and all but he hasn't shown anything all year to suggest that he can flip that switch all of a sudden and dominate
  14. I'm all for optimism but he had the look of someone who hasn't pitched consistently all season so put me down on the list of people who would be surprised if he pitches 7-8 shutout innings should he get another playoff start rather than those who will be surprised if he doesn't
  15. come on, no snowball effect please
  16. damnit Lowrie, swinging at ball 4
