    Move on to where though? Kevin Cash? Dusty Brown? George Kottaras? I read somewhere that the Sox were 24-22 this year when someone other than Varitek caught. That stat alone frightens me a bit.

    Cause there's a line that few guys can cross where they won't get booed. I don't think pitchers can ever cross that line. Ortiz is there, Varitek is there, Lowell is there, Pedroia might be there.

    I don't get this article though, Rosenthal is basically saying "The Sox have a lot of white guys, I'm not saying they're racist, they just have less minorities than other teams....but I'm not saying they're racist, I'm just stating the facts." I think he's clearly got an agenda here, I'm just not sure why or how come.

    Only 8% of players in MLB are African-American, which averages to two per 25-man roster. Yes, the Sox only have one but from my count, the Angels have six: Matthews Jr., Hunter, Figgins, Anderson, Kendrick and Oliver. The fact that they skew the average means that there are several other teams who are under the average.

    Like I said in the game thread, you can't act like the sky is falling when one game completely turns this series around. I'm seeing a lot of talk here that should be reserved for if we go down 3-1. Just like Wakefield is the starter who's most likely to get bombed in any potential outing, he's also the guy who, besides Lester, has the most potential to pitch 8 shutout innings

    We really don't have a problem with guys posting here who are fans of other teams, as long as they bring intelligent points to the board, not just "BWAAAAAAA RAYS ROOLZ!!!!!! BOSTED RED SUX!!!!!!" That being said, why is Gom still here?

    a guy who wins two starts and pitches 14 innings allowing 0 earned runs in a best of 5 automatically gets the MVP every single time in my book

    I have yet to see a convincing argument from anyone who opposes the way Tito has set up the pitchers. This way, you have the big 3 all pitching on relatively normal rest with Beckett and Lester lined up for games 6 and 7, respectively

    you know how when you watch two teams you have no alliegance for whatsoever face each other, you find yourself automatically pulling for a team? thats how I feel with the Phillies. I guess I really fear the prospect of Manny facing the Sox in the WS

    The way to force teams to pitch to Papi is for teams to fear pitching to Youkilis, who was pretty quiet during the ALDS. if they made any change, I'd probably do Ellsbury Pedroia Youkilis Ortiz Bay Drew Kotsay Varitek Lowrie But I know Tito likes to see Ortiz in the 3 slot all the time so I doubt anything changes
