  1. Suspected steroid users tend to have numbers that spike all of a sudden for no apparent reason. Pujols has been incredibly consistent with his numbers for his entire career and if you read the article, he's been the same for his entire baseball life. Regardless of what era we're in, it isn't fair to accuse whoever hits over 20 homers of being a steroid user
  2. And what's your reasoning?
  3. So, do you believe him?
  4. lol, Manny has a sore hamstring today
  5. Youk was on the team but wasn't part of the "core"
  6. They'll pick up that option unless he ends up ripping up his shoulder or something, knock on wood
  7. Aren't you glad we have an FO who isn't all that nostalgic and knows when to cut ties to ensure the team stays competitive?
  8. I heard somewhere today that Ned Coletti has interest in Petey Red Sox West indeed...
  9. Tim Wakefield says hi....and Youkilis appeared in almost half the games
  10. Yea, he just doesn't get on base enough to get away with being that one-dimensional otherwise he'd be a poor man's Adam Dunn
  11. He was a guy who struck out about once every three at-bats which was tolerable in 2006 since he was productive but he lost all that productivity in 2007 and thus, became completely worthless. He has no place in this organization.
  12. No, I just think he'll do better than last year
  13. clearly, and color me optimistic cause that's what ST is all about on a more positive note, Beckett turned in 4 scoreless innings today, he's pitched 9 scoreless for the spring
  14. I still think he'll be better. He generally has an up year followed by a down year followed by an up year.
  15. he's had 16 at-bats....
  16. Again, this has absolutely nothing to do with what Manny did. This has to do with the fact that Papelbon being so candid about it is rather surprising. Yea, Schilling was also outspoken but Schilling hasn't really been a part of the team since 2007.
  17. I'm scared shitless that there's gonna be an airshow everytime Wake pitches but it's not about how comfortable I am watching a game, it's about his results.
  18. I know he's outspoken but has he ever publicly criticized a former teammate before? And using the word "cancer" is pretty strong. That's about the worst thing you can call a player who was on your team.
  19. He's still worth the 4 mil for what he brings to the team
  20. Wow, I'm shocked that he said that. Not shocked in the opinion but shocked in the fact that he said it publicly.
