First of all, it all hinges on the season he's gonna have. And I'm talking about the role he would play for the team, I'm not comparing him to David Price, you quack
yup, that was good times
that clip actually got me curious to see whatever happened to Gustavo Chacin. turns out he signed a minor-league deal with Washington
So what's worse for baseball? A-Rod or Pujols getting caught? A-Rod is much more mainsteam than Pujols but Pujols has a better image
I'd say A-Rod simply because he probably is the most mainsteam baseball player out there aside from Jeter. A-Rod testing positive was news on TMZ and places like that. Pujols testing positive wouldn't get past the sports sites and sports pages
It's like coaches getting fired. It happens all the time but it still shocks me from time to time depending who it is. If a guy comes out and so vehemently denies using steroids but then gets caught, it shocks me. Palmeiro getting caught shocked me.
I remember seeing Wily Mo take BP in Toronto back in 2006 and he launched a homer that hit the actual restaurant way up in dead CF at SkyDome
It was Roy Halladay vs. Lenny DiNardo that day, needless to say DiNardo didn't make the 12 hour, one-day round trip worth it...
I really wouldn't consider Manny to be a person of integrity and with strong morals.
Pettitte being named in the Mitchell Report shocked me just like if it ever gets out that Pujols used, it would shock me.
It never would have shocked me if Manny tested positive cause if he got suspended, I really don't think he cared and his public perception has already gone to s***. Ortiz wouldn't shock me all that much since I could see him using to prove the Twins wrong about letting him go.
Pujols would shock me though cause he's been a hitting prodigy for as long as he's played baseball and he seems like a person with exceptionally strong morals. A-Rod never has been a person with very strong morals.
Only Pujols himself knows 100% if he's never taken steroids. And even then, maybe he drank one of those shakes Ortiz drank growing up in the DR where he didn't know what might have been in them.
But whatever, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt cause there isn't any of the statistical anomalies usually associated with steroid users during his career.
I guess if you were a professional athlete, you'd probably better understand the pitfalls of saying someone who hasn't tested positive or been charged with anything doesn't deserve an award over you
Just look at how much s*** Papelbon is getting right now from the national media for his comments about Manny, and he's gonna be asked about them for months now
