    Somestimes there's a faulty circuit. Just wanted to make sure we didn't have another ( what was that banned girl's name ) fan of players getting hurt. I got the general gist of what he meant. I just don't think the kid is really ready for prime time in a play-off race. I'd rather have worked him in.

    ok, but I really don't beleive much of what Roger says. When he was in Boston he stated he'd probably sign with a teanm close to home... he went to the Blue Jays, then when he was with the Jays same line ... he went to NY. Then I'm retiring..... nope I'll pitch .. but no road games.... then I'm retired again..... nope I'll come back for what $ 17 + Million. Roger is in this game for Roger and Roger only.

    At most, I think Olerud will sign as a back-up. Personally, I think he'll seriously consider retiring, or go to a team strictly as a DH ( this would pretty much eliminate him from the Sox, re Papi ).

    I didn't readit as intend to sign all of them. My quess is they'll make an attempt at them until it gets too pricey, then maybe zero in on one. There's no way they can afford to go after front line pitching via frre agency with their salary constrants.

    Wrong. They might have been the best team in the National League, they had the best record and won the National League pennent. However, that record was compiled against a vast majority of games against NL opponents. When they faced the Red Sox in the World Series they were swept 4-0 and never had the lead. I'm sorry, but the best team ( Red Sox ) won. End of story.
