  1. Matsui is hitting better, Podsednik is running better, and they have comparable fielding stats. But, I tend to agree with what someone mentioned earlier. Podsednik is more of a catalyst for his team. Stats aren't the "end all be all" determinant in gauging a player's performance. If they were, then no Yankee fan should compain (I'm not saying you have) about Michael Young being selected before Derek Jeter. In my opinion, intangibles count, and that is why I think both Jeter and Podsednik should have made the team.
  2. I hate tropical storms/hurricanes! That weather that called the game was the remnants of the third named tropical storm of the year this year. Started with a "C". Last year we got hit by 3 hurricanes here in Orlando, too much debris.
  3. I read in one of your earlier posts that you enjoy the banter, just giving you some......it was all in jest.
  4. I don't need to, I already gave you instructions.
  5. Look up at SoxfaninTex's post, it says 1 IP, 2 R, 1ER.
  6. I confess, I killed your mother. Forgive me? I know it seems like apples and oranges, but wrong is wrong.
  7. 1 IP, and 1 ER, sounds like a fit in this bullpen.
  8. Just how do you get to be a travelling soap salesman anyway?
  9. It rains 95% of days here in the summer. Always an afternoon thunderstorm. That's why the Rays play in a dome.
  10. 5 steps to making my day better 1-go to store 2-buy gun and ammunition 3-load gun 4-insert gun into mouth 5-pull trigger Have a nice day!
  11. MLB.com shows the game as being delayed, and local radar in Baltimore, while showing heavy showers approaching, also shows a small window before the heavy showers arrive. Has the game been called?
  12. No Manny, JD, Tek, or Rent.......WTF, over?
  13. That kid could turn into a lights-out closer
  14. They still have 2 series against the Rangers, and 1 against the Angels. Plus they start August with the White Sox and Yankees. There's some meat to their schedule.
  15. First, I don't think a judgement about the Sox or the Yanks can be made before the trade deadline. They both have holes to fill, and the team dynamic can change drastically with some new faces. Remember the Red Sox last August? Second, the next month will be a big determinant on the Yankees chances. Just look at their schedule: July 7-10, CLE (46-38) July 14-17, @BOS (48-35) July 18-20, @TEX (43-40) July 21-24, @ANA (52-32) July 26-28, MIN (46-36) July 29-31, ANA (52-32) Aug 2-4, @CLE (46-38) Aug 5-7, @TOR (43-41) Aug 8-10, CWS (57-26) Aug 11-14, TEX (43-40) If they can keep winning through that stretch, then we can't write them off.
  16. He wouldn't have gotten a chance at the C.G. if the break weren't coming up. He'll get long rest before the Yankees series.
  17. Clement on 107 pitches in the 8th? Fingers crossed.......not any harder than if someone was in from the pen.
  18. Nah, make it his nut, the the fans at the Fens can come up with a bunch of "One-Nut" chants......he'd be taken out of his game.
  19. I'd pay good money for one of Reed Johnson's testicles.
  20. 7-4, Dellucci's 2nd.
  21. Clement's only at 85 pitches, should be out for the 7th.
  22. I'm using gameday, and it says injury delay. Millar foul one off his foot?
  23. Kevin, Keeeevvvviiinnnnnn..........guess what's in the bucket I'm holding? It's all yours with a hit.
  24. Let's go Trot, break it open!
