  1. Oh, and the reason Bellhorn leads the team in walks is because he can't the f***ing bat off of his shoulder. Half of his 106 K's are looking. 49 walks, 53 looking K's. He just fishing for those walks. Even a blind squirrel finds an occasional nut.
  2. When I was in the Marines I learned a saying, "You can't polish a turd". So try and spit shine Bellhorns image all you want, but it basically boils down to that concept. Put any spin you want on it, but a guy who leads the league in strikeouts while slugging only .353 is a turd.
  3. Yeah, then he'd bitch about it to the media, and all the idiots on ESPN would be talking about discord in the locker room.
  4. I was a physics major before I switched to Electrical Engineering.
  5. Youk, your hypothesis holds some merit. Special Relativity shows that time moves slower the faster you go, and some have surmised from that premise that time travel would be possible if one were able to exceed the speed of light. And since momentum is mass*velocity, and the Red Sox collective mass is constant, then if their momentum is sufficiently high (due to increased velocity) then they could travel backwards in time. However, General Relativity shows that the faster you go the more massive you become, leading Einstein to suggest that nothing with mass could possibly reach that speed, only photons can. So, if you can find a way to turn the Red Sox into a photon (electromagnetic energy), then they can acheive a sweep.
  6. Mark "I'm the only starter who couldn't get a hit in a 17-1 rout" Bellhorn strikes out for the 106th time. Last year's 171 will be surpassed before Labor Day at this rate.
  7. Another thing to consider. The Yankees had won 16 out of 18 before we played them last time, and a 17-1 defeat sent them into a two-week tailspin. Could tonight's game have the same effect? Let's hope so.
  8. I think Cora has made an error in each of the three games he's played since the trade. No me gusta.
  9. Hope so Youk. Very similar to the last series with them. Close first game goes their way. A blowout by us. Hope the third game follows form.
  10. Papi, you big f***ing beautiful bitch.
  11. GS here and I even relax when Embree comes in.
  12. Walked a run in.....B-E-A-yootiful.
  13. Mark is slowing creeping down toward the Mendoza line, .217 BA.
  14. 105 and counting for Mark "you mean i'm supposed to hit the ball" Bellhorn
  15. Cora! Cora! Cora!.....single
  16. "You don't practice Renteria.............You ain't got no crystal ball"
  17. Good, hope he can get a C.G. and rest the 'pen.
  18. Youk rack me up........get it?
  19. 3 more, 12-1. Thank uncle Trot too, because if he Ho-Hum's that slide, then Cano makes the DP and no runs score. Way to play hard no matter what the score Trot!
  20. Johnny needs to save some for the next game. Just a thought, and this could happen. It'd be nice to see JD and Manny break DiMaggio's and Gehrig's records in the same season.
  21. Some Yankee fan was blathering on about how May was an effective reliever. I sometimes wonder if George issues crack to all people willing to root for his team.
  22. ARod gets DP'd, bet he liked it too.
  23. 9-0, if we double it, I won't be too concerned if Embree plays
  24. Yankee fans have been hailing Cabrera as tne next Say-Hey Kid. I say he's more of a "Say-where'd the ball go" type of guy.
  25. A guy who strikes out a lot is not necessarily the type of bench player you want. That makes him a liability as a pinch-hitter. Not fast enough to be a pinch-runner. And I don't think he has the range to play short as a middle infield bench player. I don't see him on the team by the begining of next year.
