Youk, your hypothesis holds some merit. Special Relativity shows that time moves slower the faster you go, and some have surmised from that premise that time travel would be possible if one were able to exceed the speed of light. And since momentum is mass*velocity, and the Red Sox collective mass is constant, then if their momentum is sufficiently high (due to increased velocity) then they could travel backwards in time. However, General Relativity shows that the faster you go the more massive you become, leading Einstein to suggest that nothing with mass could possibly reach that speed, only photons can. So, if you can find a way to turn the Red Sox into a photon (electromagnetic energy), then they can acheive a sweep.
