    This reminds me of something that I was thinking about today. If we are in a playoff game to get into the postseason, Bronson is the scheduled starter. I think that is fine, because if we get in, it is either him or Clement as the game one starter. That being said, I think Tito is a moron if he doesn't have Papelbon warming in the 'pen at the start of the game.

    If the ChiSox hold on, then our playoff chances are in the hands of Curt. We win tomorrow, and we are in. I wouldn't have it any other way. Curt is the motherf***ing balls in big games.

    In defense of Fox, they are only going to split-screen when either of the teams is threatening, and that game does have playoff implications.

    I agree RS. We need to get RJ out of the game by the middle of 6 at least to make a run at it. You have to figure Torre will use Gordon and Mo for 3 innings. This team still has some fight in it. A quick inning here could spell trouble though.

    Even though we got nothing to show for it, that was a great AB from JD. BrentD22, if the Yankees win and the Guardians lose, then they do clinch the division. If they win on Sunday it is theirs. If we win on Sunday, it is a tie, but we will be ahead of the Guardians in the WC race. Since we and the Yankees will be going to the playoffs, they win the division by their head-to-head record against us. Playoff games are only played if they determine who is going to the playoffs. Since we would both be going, they wouldn't play it.

    Trot's was not a base running blunder. It was a failed hit and run. He doesn't have the speed to straight steal. I think it is hard to blame him in that situation. It was just unfortunate luck that Wang's pitch was 2 feet off the plate, making it impossible for Tek to make contact.
