There are silver linings, guys.
I know I'll get called out for rationalizing, but I really do believe this. This isn't necessarily a bad thing. We control our destiny tomorrow against a team looking to set things for the postseason. We win, and we are in.
If we do win, I feel we got the better end of the deal. The Angels have the best top-to-bottom pitching staff for the playoffs IMO, and that is who the Yankees will be facing. We, on the other hand, get the White Sox. While their pitching is good, I don't think it is nearly as good as the Angels, and their offense doesn't send anyone running for the hills either.
I have a feeling we aren't done with the Yankees this year. Three straight ALCS's isn't only possible, but it seems ordained.
