  1. Snow, Pena, and Bard? They are the only ones doing anything at the plate today.
  2. I recall a 2-0 loss to Pittsburg last year.
  3. Our offense is a joke. Yeah, I said it.
  4. Find a way to not make an out Alex. Find a way.
  5. Wily Mo goes oppo again, I like seeing that.
  6. f***ing killer AB for Bard. 12-pitch walk to load 'em up with no outs.
  7. You know, the same thought crossed my mind today. I know it doesn't matter, but sometimes an arbitrary change can have a psychological effect.
  8. Yeah, and that Yankee lineup is chock full of youngsters. You aren't helping your argument.
  9. This post would get ignored if you weren't such a hypocrite. So Manny is done based on 10 games, but the data about the Yankees is inconclusive? Didn't take you long to have a mouthful of Nike upon your return. *For the record, I think 10 games isn't enough data to determine anything. However, I think that small sample recognition applies to every player and team.
  10. I'd really hate to lose another MIF to them. EDIT: Besides, their current CF, prospect Eric Reed, isn't exactly proving himself worthy of the promotion. If that continues, they may start shopping for a cost controlled replacement, and Stern fits the bill nicely.
  11. Just heard Kay say this on YES, not making this up..... "Castro is making Mussina work, so Posada goes out to the mound to give Mike a bit of blow."
  12. Put it in the books. Schilling is back to being a horse. Papelbon is nails.
  13. He's got 200 wins because he's been making starts for over 20 years now, and he's played for some pretty good teams. His career ERA is slightly above average and his K/9 rate is around 5. It is frustrating to watch those types of pitchers mow the team down
  14. And, it's perjured, not perjuried. Perjury is a noun; ....he committed perjury. Perjure is a verb; ....he perjured himself.
  15. Wow, that one took a lot of thought. If you are going to insult the opposition, at least be creative. Like..... Feivel at second after the ball gets by Morneau.
  16. This team is making some pretty craptastic pitchers look like absolute aces lately. Lilly, 10 Ks in 7? Moyer, 8 Ks in 6? You have to be kidding me.
  17. Wow. I thought Curt would bounce back, but I didn't think he'd be this good again. I love this going forward.
  18. Now he's painting with the FB.
  19. The splitty is getting better and better.
  20. Loretta wasn't going to bunt single on Beltre without a perfect bunt. Way too risky IMO, especially when you have someone up who makes contact so well. Let him work the count, and then maybe hit and run with Youk running from first. The sac-bunt was a bad idea.
  21. WTF? Why are they laying one down there in the first place with Loretta up? Silly play. Nice play by Beltre though.
  22. The black hole has decided to reduce it's gravity field a bit and let a little offense out tonight. Whey-2-go Gonzo!
  23. Mohr is smacking the shite out of the ball. Let's go Wily Mo! (that is fun to say)
  24. I can't believe I need to say this, but I don't think there is a chance in hell he's dogging it. There was a report from ST that Manny wants to have his best season ever, an MVP type year. He shagged extra fly balls, and from what I've seen this season his effort in the field has been all out on every play. If anything, I'd say he's pressing.
  25. Where did that 1-2 miss?
