Florida's defense committed 3 errors (4 by my count - 2 by Hanley, 2 by Jacobs) in a 3-run first, but Wang must have decided he only wanted a lead his team earned, so he gave up 3 consecutive extra-base hits to tie the game at 3.
Can we call it a slump for a guy who hasn't established career norms? I don't think he's slumping. He's reverting to the mean. His numbers right now are close the the MLE you would expect from his minor league performance. They should be hoping he gets hot again, and then try and sell high, because I think he'll more than likely disappoint in the long run.
I figured out why the Nats are having a hard time hitting the ball. They can't see it because it is covered in filth. Man, we are seeing Lester's A-game tonight.
Root for LaPorta to have a great summer in the Cape League. This will showcase his talent for the Sox, and make them more apt to give him 1st round money. I think he will sign if offered 1st round money. If he has a bad summer on Cape Cod and the Sox play hardball with him, then he'll probably return to FL to improve his draft position.
