Wow, you've just completely whitewashed a couple of things. Most smokers smoke filtered cigarettes. Due to smoking without filters and the nature of how it is smoked (holding it in), grass smokers generally expose themselves to 3-5 times the tar and CO absorbtion. Smoking does far more harm to the body than drinking. Are high drivers any different than drunk drivers? Dope doesn't lead to as many stupid decisions? I'd certainly disagree, from personal experience, there.
I'm not taking this up because I'm anti-drug. I think the war on drugs is stupid. Simple possession, of anything, should be at least decriminalized, but I'm for complete legalization. Of all of them. The drugs aren't going away. The busts just result in new dealers. Why let organized crime make money - while we waste money enforcing it - when we could reassign every law enforcement officer, funded through taxes on drugs, to the investigate real crime. Person on person crime. None of this NIMBY crap. I mean, as a society we allow women to kill an unborn child, and it's legal because we supposedly wanted to make the practice safer (which hasn't been delivered, IMO). How hypocritical is it if we'll allow babies to be killed for safety, but not the usage of drugs?
Anyway, I don't see the "alcohol is more damaging" line of thinking. It's what I told myself when I started smoking grass, but now I see them as equal in stature in terms of the negatives.
