  1. That'll be two in scoring position.
  2. Holy s***, a double from Cash.
  3. I only throw up a little now when I say his name now.
  4. His performance in the minors reveals him to be a right-handed Jon Lester. Meh. Anyone got a scouting report on him?
  5. Maybe, but there's a case for Paul.
  6. Dwight with another 20/20 game. Beast. Chris Paul is the player I take to start a franchise.
  7. Youk appears to have premature male pattern baldness going on. I don't blame him for the shaved look, and I expect Pedroia will follow suit in the near future.
  8. I refuse to mention the name of "He who shall not be named." If Francona actually uses him with a 1-run lead when his 2nd best RP just threw a 15 pitch inning in his first appearance in days, then the FO needs to get rid of "He who shall not be named" in order to protect Tito from himself.
  9. I think there's a case to be made, especially if considering the multi-position capability. I love having him on this team.
  10. Just at his position I'd add Berkman, Lee, Helton, and Carlos Pena to that list. All very good defenders with much more power in their bats. EDIT: Well, maybe not for Berkman's D, but definitely for his bat.
  11. Don't think he's quite there, as that is elite territory. I mean think about it, to get there he's got to be better than the best player on 10 teams. Don't think he's there. Ellsbury is 10 different kinds of awesome.
  12. CMW with his best David Pauley impression. 6 base runners in 1.1, 2-2 in Chicago.
  13. Youk is such a solid ball player in every facet. He does nothing excellently, but he's good at everything.
  14. Now all he needs to do is change his name from Lugo so I no longer feel a reminder of the hate.
  15. Platoon? What platoon? Play that speedy f***er every day.
  16. Nothing left to prove there. He needs to be promoted. Whether it be to Lancaster and the challenge of hitter friendly environment or to Portland and the challenge of more polished hitters, he needs to be moved. My vote is to Portland.
  17. I'm all for it if they can get him 300+ ABs.
  18. I don't disagree. Today was encouraging, re: Lugo. I will add a caveat. He was hitting .271 going into today, which isn't bad. But that's all he was doing, and with the quality of contact he was making, I'd call it a very fortunate .271. Now, if he can continue to drive the ball like he did today, then I'm on board. If he goes back to the weak 6 hoppers to the left side, then today was just an anomaly.
  19. He's got the talent, I don't dispute that. But, prior to today, he showed very little of it this year. I recall reading that like 8 of his 18 hits prior to today were of the IF variety. Today, he started squaring the ball up. Hopefully, that continues.
  20. Nice looking change ups from MDC to Hamilton.
  21. Lugo's swinging the bat like his job is on the line or something.
